I want a new Mario Paint for the Wii mostly for the music editor, but this may suffice if it's any good.

Doh, I was hoping this was gonna be some article relating gaming to Nas.

The animators have done a really good job w/ this title thusfar IMHO. Lookin forward to it.

Wait so... is this new Tales of Symphonia officially subtitled Knights of Ratatosk or Dawn of the New World? I've seen both used to refer to this game.

Wii + Mario Paint = Pure bliss

lol I remember spending hrs level-grinding in the underground cave in the FF3 remake. The fact that your characters up their job class level in addition to their own levels make the level-grinding in the FF3 remake even more addictive.

I like how difficult these remakes are. I've been pwned more than a few times in the FF3 remake, and I consider myself to be a fairly adept level-grinder.

No they're not. This figure excludes WiiSports and VC downloads.

Good to know regarding Boom Blox. Ya I've been interested in Blast Works as well cuz of the whole user-generated content thing and the ease of exchanging these ideas online (no friendcodes for example).

AFAIK, calling it beer pong or Beirut is a regional thing. I went to college in Chicago and we always called it beer pong, but my friend at Tulane insists that it is called Beirut.

Well the nice thing about a console appealing to a wide demographic is that the term "good" becomes more and more subjective. I just picked up Okami for the Wii and while it is a great game, I don't expect its Wii sales to far outdo its PS2 sales by a significant margin. Meanwhile, games like WiiFit that most ppl on this site loathe will sell extremely well.

Not everyone can agree on what games are good games, but everyone can agree that 50 million is 50 million.

I too would be interested in seeing those figures.

I was gonna give credit to WiiSports for being an amazing system seller but then read this bit at the end of the original source (which is at Kotaku):

Update: I just clarified with Nintendo: Those software sales numbers only include boxed games sold at retail and not virtual console or Wii Sports.

Wii-owners don't buy games.

What if "nex-gen" had a concrete definition?

I agree w/ the way he addressed the criticism that the game can be completed in 3 hrs. There are a lot of secrets to be found and searching for these extends the play time greatly. Plus like he mentioned, there are numerous titles out there retailing for $60 that can be completed in 4-7 hrs.

This game is great. Excellent art style, storyline (the storyline is based around Japanese mythology much like Okami), sound effects, and most importantly it is fun. $10 well-spent for me...

Hopefully I'll be done w/ FFIV by then (Gamestop rep told me it's coming out July 23rd).

Wii controls open up a ton of possibilities for the QTEs.

Ya, the base game is $15 and there are lots of assorted additional DLC that can be had for anywhere from $1 to $8 I believe. I've been enjoying this game so much that I chose to download the dungeon pack for $3, which adds a bunch of new dungeons and ups the limit on the amount of certain buildings you can build in your town. You can also purchase DLC for 3 additional races of characters individually for $3 each, or a pack of all 3 for $8. Additional costume packs are $1 each I think. The...

I thought it was just gonna be the same Dr. Mario w/ online play for 1000 Wii points, but it's good to know that there is another game included as well.

Hmm... he makes a good point about not being able to see the TV during particular exercises. Trying to keep your head up while doing push-ups can definitely put some strain on the body, so hopefully the audio helps in that regard.
