If it comes out anywhere near LittleBigPlanet or Resistance, it may struggle on the PS3, if it comes out near Gears or Fable it may struggle on the 360. If it's early 2009 then it might have more luck so if it is coming to either console later, it may not be a bad thing.
Having said that, I want it. (We'll see what people say about it closer to launch though).
He's right, if you don't let the intense frustration get to you, it's a very good game, but sometimes you can get incredibly annoyed at it.
Any bundles would be great, I haven't bought any of them yet so whatever money I can save is brilliant.
The PS1 was launched in 1994.
The PS2's launch (2000) was 6 years after the PS1's launch.
The PS3's launch (2006) was 6 years after the PS2's launch.
The PS4's launch will probably be 6 years after the PS3.
So 2012 sounds about right for the PS4.
True... but it's not like every single PS3 exclusive is a 90%+ title.

Perhaps more people with stronger weapons would have more luck. I have no idea what the limits are in FF XI but surely there is an easier way.
4 games currently have trophies. (Though I don't think Buzz is out in NA). On top of that:
Warhawk's patch is due on the 27th. Some are retroactive.
Pain's patch is due on September 4th.
Burnout Paradise's trophies will be retroactive.

Sounds more to me like people are expecting the Wii's to gather dust and be forgotten while people still play the PS2.
Shouldn't this article have a question mark in the title? They haven't confirmed that the 360 isn't getting a patch, not to mention that this article is mainly about the PS3 version.
With the summer lull in full swing, hopefully you guys can't persuade me to part with too much money this week, but we'll see after I've listened to the show.

I feel that trophies should generally be quite tough, PixelJunk Eden does this quite well. Uncharted's trophies are for the most part quite easy.
Pain... as long as some of them aren't stupidly hard to get, I'm cool with that. The "Explode a girl 500 times" one I like, it's not easy, but as long as you play the game, you'll get it eventually.
I agree, I think the "Two words is too much" rule should be replaced with "Capitalise properly".
One thing I do feel very strongly about though.

I wouldn't say Sony don't care, they just give the developers more flexibility, or at least that's how it looks. We have no idea what goes on behind the scenes.
