Console gamers generally like to play from the couch, Keyboard and mouse would be uncomfortable in that position.
Also i dont think most console gamers enjoy the RTS genre. Its always been more of a PC genre just like hack and slash action games have been more of console genres.
3D monitor will set ya back 250usd. whats more you actually get to play your games in 1080p.
milk
dont forget to price it at 59usd ubi.
also make its a repeatfest just like your other games:
Prince of persia: repeatfest
farcry2: repeatfest
AC1&AC2: repeatfest
anything ubi have put out recently has been to cater to the casuals and milk as many ppl as possible. I am glad this game is delayed on the PC and certainly hope its priced at 59usd.
Hope they will be making new engines finally, sick of seeings cod games use the same 4yr old engine.
I had a ton of these up until recently, even though i didnt use them.
I was shifting home, so found a whole lot of them in one of the older boxes. Got rid of all of them since i dont have a PC with a Floppy drive anymore.
I see more and more people have USB flashdisks for storage needs.
Its amazing though how far we have come in terms of storage.
1.44mb on a floppy drive vs upto 64gigs on a USB flash disk. Though i am sure 15years fr...
RIP Floppy Disk.
The days of installing Dos via Floppy, or installing Windows 3.1 seems like an ancient memory.
@piratethorn
Its ignorant to say no one cares about the PC.
Steam alone has 25million users, that would be considered a good base for any console.
Theres currently about 230milllion gaming PC's out there(as per PCGA). That puts number of gaming PC's far above all the current gen consoles combined.
Last year alone The enthuiast PC gaming market was worth 9Billion USD hardware thats worth more then PS3 and xbox 360 sell in a year.
Original Xbox gamers should get this on the PC, since Microsoft killed the servers.
Also they would finally get to play the game in 1080p and free ;-)
@below
dam didnt realise the original halo was so limited.. oh well they could still get halo2 on pc and keep enjoying their mp online, no need to be controlled by MS.
of all the ignorant console fanboi comments out there.. this just tops them all..
To do alanwake better then the 540p on 360.. you would need a 50usd gpu.
@information minister
yes all of us know the framerate will be halved.
However my point was that doesnt matter to even a midrange PC. Since a midrange PC of today pretty much plays every game(asides crysis) out there between 80-90 FPS @1080p 2xAA. Even if that was halved it would be running between 45-50fps, which is still great.
Almost every console game already runs at 30fps. If a console was to do true 3D (no duplication) then frame rates would ...
@information minister
you should check the benchmarks before making assumptions.
Resident evil 5 running on 2yr old hardware on PC. 1080p runs at 80fps+ (285gtx)
480gtx would be around 160fps atleast. Now even if you a were to divde those figures by 2 you would still be way above the minimum playing fps.
Sorry but your logic fails.
Also as i recall both the console version on resident evil 5 were below HD resolutions ...
this should have been user created free content.
updating now ;-) this game just is awesome
we need games that push current hardware now, before any new hardware is released.
even a 100usd gpu now a days maxxes out most games.
its gimped but i would rather wait for the pc version. too many games on pc anyways, can wait for the few late releases.
dragon age, witcher would be awesome
We heard simular comments out of Sega few weeks back. DD is taking over, its at 80% of PC sales. Looking at retail is fail.
Year on year PC grew 3% last year, while consoles saw a dip of 9%. If anything PC is going stronger then ever.
Sinle 5770 should hold up very well for most games.
As for crossfire, as dchalfont said game there may be games where crossfire is not supported. However from personal experience i own a 5970 (which crossfire as well), i would say 90% games make good use of crossfire.
Hence in most games you can expect 5770 crossfire to give you very good performance around the levels of the 5870, which is really good for the money and yea you could save your money for now go fo...
Looks like World of warcraft is still going very strong.
