Actually looks pretty good. With a wolverine game you need to get the aggressive combat down and it looks like it strikes a good balance. Still looks a bit stiff with the animations, but the torn clothes and blood.looks decent. Here's hoping they can get something akin to Dead Island 2s gore system in place.

Surprised how many people giving this game a pass for its issues. I guess because it isn't a big name publisher, but buying a game like this only to not be allowed to Play a solo game because servers are down or overloaded is unacceptable from any game. Always online always sucks regardless of the size of the developer. I could even possibly give the always online crap a pass if I could even play a solo game with the servers down but nope.

Just replayed AC IV a few weeks back, followed by the Skull and Bones trial. Have to say that as this video shows, the 11 year old game beats the brand new game in just about every category. I will say the visuals and feel of sailing are really good in S&B, but that is about it.

This just makes me that much more interested in an AC IV remake. Imagining the gameplay of black flag with the graphics and water physics of Skull and Bones would be sublime. Although sinc...

You mention there is a lot to do, but without swordfighting, boarding, exploration, on foot sections etc, what IS there to do? Most reviews I have read state it is basically just a boring, repetitive looter shooter but played through the eyes of a boat. I'm genuinely curious what variety of things you are referring to that are enjoyable, because I am itching for a pirate game, but this so far looks really unappealing.

Man don't sully Black Flags name like that. This would be the worst dlc of all time.

Looks pretty damned good. I actually liked the rise of the tomb raider model best but I think blending the old and new is a great idea.

Absolutely! Great point, this was the perfect chance to make an unofficial sequel to Black Flag. I would have paid 100 bucks for that. Instead we get a minigame pale imitation of Black Flag for full price. Nah, I will sit back and wait for the AC4 remake that will probably never come because it is insanely popular and demanded.

Lol a AAAA pirate simulator that won't let you fight, explore islands, or even touch water. Got it. I'd hate to see what his idea of AAA is.

Yes! I thought I was the only one who loved Omikron. So ahead of its time. Ironic they went so far backward with their game designs and almost 25 years later are making games that feel like they were designed3 decades ago but remastered with current visuals. So sad.

After playing through the game a second time and just starting phantom liberty, I do agree with a lot of what the article states. As much as the game disappointed me on launch, The writing, voice acting, visuals, animation, combat, driving, world building are ALL nearly unmatched. Most every game I love has drawbacks or things that bug me, but CP seems to excel everywhere.

This isn't to excuse the state of the game at launch, but just to point out how high CDPR set th...

Love it and we need more or this in games. I miss games like the old ghost recon and myth games were you build characters only to lose them. Adds a real sense of loss and finality to decisions rather than just a "try again" screen.

The only recent games to have tried something similar I can think of are baldurs gate 3 and the state of decay series, and those are two of my favorites.

Looks great and love the first one. One thing I would love for them to add is some damage to enemies. When you spend 10 minutes stabbing slicing and shooting an enemy it would be awesome to see some damage like cuts and blood show up. This could take the place of a health bar and eventually you would get an idea of how close the enemy is to death by the visible damage.

Does look pretty good. Some of the character movements around the ring still look pretty stilted but overall the impacts and damage are huge upgrades.

Yeah it is just the typical console warriors supporting "their team". I thought by 2023 folks would have grown out of this, but i guess it is our tribalistic instincts.

I have a ps5 and have been a sony gamer since i Microsoft screwed us over with their terrible qualiy control on the 360. That being said i would love to play starfield and will likely get it at some point on PC or if i buy a series x.

I am loving BG3 which is wild as I have ne...

Man I miss the driver series. That and stuntman games were such good riving games back in the day. Some of the physics and car feel still top modern driving and racing games. Good times!

As much as I love odyssey, i feel like valhalla took many steps backward. I like the thought of having both an rpg and old school stealth action version of AC but this does look a bit underwhelming. I think the devs heard everyone complaining on the rpg direction and took that to mean we all wanted ac 1 with visual upgrades...

They already made the city and everything for this game like 6 years ago and improved it for miles morales, so it better be 60 fps. Just adding some new characters and stories shouldnt hurt the frame rate that much.

Really disappointing. First game was hugely underrated and one of my favorites from last gen. The sequel felt worse in almost every way. Not until Dead Island 2 came out and showed them up did they bother to improve DL2. Now they are owned by Tencent im out on anything they do.

Lol whatever you say souls. I said exclusive not bought out, try reading. BTW, Your mom says go clean your room and stop licking your playstation. You are the exact console warrior troll i was referring to. Get a life boy. These multibillion dollar corporations don't care about you.
