It really seems to be a matter of "when" and not "if". The real question is how receptive people will be to the idea. Clearly it has potential, but I would really like to see some concrete info on the whole thing as opposed to speculation and rumor. In due time, I suppose.
Good one, and I agree.
It's great news for PS3 owners. BioShock was a fabulous gaming experience. Enjoy!
they meet that release date. I'm really looking forward to this game. Looks like it's shaping up to be another fall filled with great games and empty wallets. 8)
Ripley would eat Niko for breakfast. 8)
Playing Mass Effect was like an interactive movie experience. I can't wait for the next one.
That's great to hear. I'm so completely excited about this game. It can't come soon enough.
I thought "No Fighting in the War Room" on Veteran difficulty in COD4 was a serious pain in the rear. I'm still working on the "Mile High Club" achievement, so that kind of takes the cake for me. That really gets my blood pressure up. 8)
I can't wait. Hopefully it will be a good look at the game and not some 5 or 6 second clips. Either way, I'm very much looking forward to this game.
I started gaming circa 1980. The industry has certainly come a very long way since that time. As much nostalgia as the old games bring, I have to say that I love gaming now more than ever. It's a shame that many of today's gamers didn't have the opportunity to experience the beginning of it all. I'll stop now, I'm making myself feel old. 8)
I love achievements. I've gotten far more play out of games because of them. They are a true motivation for me. In the past, I would have never tried to complete games on the highest difficulty. Now, it's the first thing I do. While the idea of achievements has been around for a long time, the evolution MS brought to them is quite impressive.
DOCSIS 3.0 is going to really change the landscape of DD. The ownership issues will still remain a challenge, but I think with time it will get sorted out.
His quote
"I work for Comcast as a tier 2.5 support agent, which essentially means im one of the top 1% elitest agents,"
is such crap. Tier 2.5 is an entry level tier support agent. Karma bites back hard. Have fun flipping burgers, dude.
Looks like I'll be picking this one up for sure. *end sarcasm*
I think this game has potential. It may not be completely original, but it may still be pretty fun. Plus, MacGyver is awesome. 8)
with you 100%. 20 years is a joke.
For the expanding cable customer base, DOCSIS 3.0 is going to play a huge role in greatly expanding bandwidth capability. In the next couple of years, there is going to be tremendous growth in broadband technology and digital distribution. Storage devices are getting smaller, with more storage space. Higher bandwidth coupled with easily portable storage is going to really change the outlook of digital distribution. Of course, not everywhere in the world will be up to speed as quickly as s...
you may have gotten me with that one. I owe you a cookie.
I would have rated it a little higher. Maybe a 6.5 or 7. Personally, I thought it was pretty fun. Definitely a unique XBLA title.
It will have to be very well designed and deployed for it to be successful. If it is done well, it could be hugely successful. IMO, it will have to be more widely implemented in games like the Wii has done, as opposed to somewhat of an afterthought like devs for the PS3 have done with the Sixaxis. They also can't target specific niche demographics either. They're going to have to really try to appeal to both hardcore and casual gamer alike to achieve real success.
