sometimes you have to sort through some of the crazy articles and their related comments to get to it. I agree with you Night4ll and snoop_dizzle, the "my console is better than yours" arguments can get pretty old. Get what you want, play what you have, and enjoy what you play. Simple! 8)

since there are some really great games coming out. Now that all the price drop news has kind of calmed down, focus is being shifted back to games. At least for the remainder of this year, I think the 360 has the edge.
I think it's going to be a blast to play. With all the knocks Halo 2 gets, it was still really fun. That's why I play games, for the fun of it, and I think Halo 3 will deliver that in spades. I can't wait.
if you haven't found any games you enjoy playing this gen, I agree with XENOCIDE, gaming might not be for you anymore. This really seems to be a gaming renaissance of sorts, IMO. Some of the best games I've ever played have been from this gen. But, you can always keep trying. I'm sure there will be something out there for you somewhere.
the game is not perfect. IMO, it's pretty close, but there are some things about it that could be improved. The story moves along nicely, the action is great and the controls are very well designed. Not to mention, it's gorgeous to look at.
is going to be a killer app. It looks like a total blast with amazingly big potential. I'm a 360 owner, and I'll be the first to say I'm 100% jealous it won't be coming to the console.

but the bulk of the credit needs to go 2K Boston/2K Australia for superbly developing the game. You can give someone the best tools in the world, but if they don't know how to use them they're not worth a thing. They did an outstanding job.
it was Toshiba, at least. MS could have had something to do with it, but I'm not completely convinced. Toshiba really has everything to lose, so it would make more sense that they were involved.
I agree with you regarding the inconsistency of the site and their opinion. I do think the game has been worthy of the high reviews, though. It's been an absolute blast to play, IMO. But, you are correct. It's not perfect, but it's a very nice game. Bubble for the avatar, BTW. That's hysterical. 8)
that most people are still very reluctant to back either format. People have spent years building up their DVD collection. The prospect of replacing some or all of them is pretty intimidating to the average person. Heck, some people are still upgrading their VHS collection to DVD's.
I'm still very interested in this game. It looks very intriguing, and I love the age the game takes place in. I hope they keep making improvements on it and turn it into the AAA title everyone was expecting.

Did MS need a price drop? No, not after $1 billion spent on warranty extensions. It was something they had to do. Sometimes you have to do things that you don't necessarily need. People do pay attention to price. I think MS is hoping that a lower price coupled with the warranty extension and some AAA games coming up will translate to a revitalization in sales. The rest of this year will be very interesting.

I have no doubt that it's going to set a new standard for RPG's. While it might not be for everyone, it is definitely for me. 8)

I'm completely hooked. I've had an absolute blast playing it. IMO, it deserves every perfect score it's received.
trying to keep up with BioShock, Halo 3 and Mass Effect. All three consoles have some truly great games coming out, no question. If I could afford it, I'd own them all, quit my job and play games for a living. But, I can't, so I'll have to be satisfied with the 360 line up for the time being. Not a bad situation to be in. 8)
I can only hope that it lives up to the lofty expectations being placed on it. Pro-G seemed very optimistic about it, but we'll find out soon enough since a firm street date was finally announced. I can't wait! 8)
