Well, what I was saying was true in so as long as a game isn't offloading graphics processing to the SPU.
However, one could argue that any Direct X feature could be emulated on any CPU as well. Which is completely true but it would obviously come with huge performance hit and massive tech initiative. Im not sure where the SPUs truly fall between their capabilities as a GPU and that of a standard CPU. I know they were meant to bridge the gap but if they don't go far ...
Even if what you were saying about the processor was true, theres only so much one can do with less than 512 Megs of RAM and a Direct x9 equivalent GPU (since PS3 runs openGL).
I guess its really preference because I couldn't get into minecraft at all but I've been loving playing Terraria.

Well the thing is, Unreal runs native on any PC and has configurable graphics settings. Im guessing those screenshot were "in game" but in reality they were in game running on a High End PC. The best looking Gears of War game is still gears of war 1 when I run it on my PC. I wish they would release Gears 3 for the PC since Im sure with all the improvements made to the engine: ambient occlusion, depth of field (added for gears 2), real time mesh deformation etc. the game really would...
Yeah, making something "unhackable" is impossible for the most part. Save, pulling the plug on a computer so its offline. But that practice tends to not work so well with online service.
Welp, the patch that comes out today adds invert support so Im pretty much out of complaints.
My only con that really bugged me as far as gameplay goes is the lack of an option to invert a joystick. While I can just use my Mouse and Keyboard, the games QTE's events made it much more satisfying on my 360 control. However, Im a man who uses inverted thumbsticks and Ill be damned if my camera isn't all over the place. That and the lack of in game Graphics configuration. I have a pretty solid PC but my 4870s can't run max. So getting it set up just right to balance performance...
Yeah its interesting for the to call themselves failures when only in the last 3 years have I respected EA at all. Acquiring DICE has a lot to do with that. Dead Space as well.
Id say the only really redeeming thing about MW2 was the coop missions. Those were extremely fun and very well executed. Aside from that it was more of the same and a broken as multiplayer experience. Im not going to say people can't enjoy it, more power to them. However, what kept me going back was a relatively tight single player experience that has been growing stale since 2006 (maybe 2007 forget when the first MW came out). Well, the best way to take a jet down in real life is with another jet, so that makes sense to me. They did patch it later on in BF2's life to make AA more reliable. That killed the game for me. A jet should be powerful. But like you said, if theres another good pilot on the otherside you have a lot to worry about other than griefing people on the ground lol.

To be perfectly honest, am I the only one that thinks PC is kinda where its at these days? I've barely touched my 360 and PS3 in the last year or so. Steam has gotten more and more fantastic and between that and Blizz (since Im a huge SC2 fan) I spent most my time on my PC. Not to mention, this late in the console cycle the graphics all just seem so watered down. Theres only so much devs can do with 512 megs of RAM.
Im pretty sure the next PS3 game Im getting is Uncharted...
One thing there "data" fails to recognize though is dieing from it is irritating as shit and fighting with it is no fun. Ah well, at least gears 3 is leaps and bounds better than gears 2. Still no Gears 1 though... a boy can dream.
