Well, if you're like me you and have a fairly solid gaming rig and drop 60 dollars on a Carmack game, you definitely feel a little betrayed when its so unplayable that you want a refund. I've heard great things about this on the console, but its PC launch was worse than a "couple" of hiccups. The latest patch seems to have fixed the majority of issues so Im finally going to have a chance to check it out.
How does ulf have 3 disagrees? What he's saying is totally right. Not to mention it sounds like you've been through the process as well, Im sure you know how fun MS TCR is.
Why do I have to get married? That has nothing to do with success and contributing to society. What, are we running out of kids?
I think they meant "Software Renderer", not "Software Vendor". Also, I wish this was longer. I love hearing from Sweeney, and Carmack also. Its always interesting to hear impressions from them on the future of the industry since they really know how things are going from a tech stand point.
Aww man, I read it as Flight Stick. I got excited thinking that would be cool for BF3. However, I will be picking up BF3 on the PC so I guess thats covered. I love Razors peripherals though, so if I was a fighting game fan Id keep my eye on this.
Its because the 3ds is a classic style Handheld in a handheld market that is changing dramatically due to the iPhone / iPad (whether we like it or not this is the case). While the PS3 had a rough launch, it was clear that from market trends that console gaming was alive and well. So publishers knew they weren't dumping their money into an empty market. With the 3ds publishers are terrified because nobody is really quite sure how the markets going to pan out. Same thing goes for the Vita. ...
Well apparently it is real, just I have no clue what the hell it means other than its totally awesome.
Im really surprised its hung on this long. Me and my friends were all about CoD4. I still enjoyed MW2 for awhile but it lost about half my friends (8 of us) And then with Black ops I don't know any of my close friends who bought it. I guess they must be picking up players elsewhere because from my point of view they've been losing players continuously with each iteration. Clearly they are but Im starting to think its the younger kids picking it up (me and my friends are all in our mid...
Very true. Also, Stealth and Seeing through walls is invaluable.
@gamerdroid
Unfortunately I haven't had time to check out the demo yet since I've been so wrapped up in deus ex. However, it looks like the coop play could be a ton of fun so Im definitely keeping it on my list of possible purchases.
Also, death, thanks for the heads up lol. You're practically a encyclopedia of Space Marine knowledge =)
What bugs me is, Warhammer are the ones who should be aloud to use the term space marine. They came up with it long before it became the watered down mess that we have now. I haven't played the demo so Im not sure of the quality but from what I've seen the game plays very differently than Gears of War. So having Gears 3 launch is no reason to not buy Space Marines.
a link to the past was #3
Lol I know! I came in expecting a new enemy type (like a mutating lambent wretch) and then its just a boring wretch battle.
Thrash ya beat me too it.
Im all for admitting that the world is a fucked up place. But lets not pretend this is anything new. Crime rates are actually way down. The difference is now you hear about all these things. After all, in the 50's do you think someone like me living in Seattle would have heard about this story from Oklahoma. Regardless, this is fucking terrible. Im glad to hear hes being tried as an adult but also lets not leave to mother out of this who apparen...
I was referring to believable in the sense of his characteristic look. That look may be as you say, a cracked out lesbian, but I think he looks a little less typical. Now, like you say, in terms of gameplay that illusion is bound to be broken so I think your point is valid. Because that dude swinging around a sword or doing anything athletic seems pretty far fetched.
Hmmm whats odd is after looking at the game if I didn't know it was made by what I assume is a largely female studio I would just as likely assume it was your typical "male devs trying to understand what women might want in a game" scenario. However, she did say in the article it was aimed at young girls so I guess the seemingly contrived nature of the game can be expected. But they don't seem to be smashing down walls here. Maybe any forays they have that are directed at ad...
Is it a dental dam?
How did you get that he is self-absorbed? The developer that is.
If I want to get that boys hole?
