Get neither so this motion gaming crap can die a slow death. People were finally starting to see through the Wii and then Sony and MS have to go and ruin it.
Im with lunatic, I just call it Gears. Not only does it flow well, it avoids the obvious confusion with God of War.
I would agree with that statement for previous Zeldas. Im a little worried about the new one though. It seems like they're too worried about its motion mechanics. I flipping hate motion control (as it is now... maybe if it gets better my opinion will change)
Its not just first dibs. MS owns the Halo IP, as a couple people have stated.
@Insomnium
Saying a game did something well != KZ2 is bad.
Comparing people to Monkeys eh? So surely you see the resemblance between us and them? Almost strikingly so.
Im pretty sure 10 hours is a good enough amount of time to decide if you like a game. If he was actually reviewing it I would agree. But as an opinion piece from the perspective of a none racing sim enthusiast, I think thats fine.
For people like me who don't like racing games but were thinking that maybe if there was one, it would be this one. His article helped me realize I will probably be much happier sticking to my heavy does of SC2. Nothing knocking the game, just not for him, and I'm fairly sure, not for me.
Marathon and Myth were both very good / innovative, for their time. They're too old to stand up any longer however.
It bugged the hell outta me when friends were talking about halo 2 being incredible because you could play it online. This was what, 2004? Regardless, I do like the Halo series but like darkride said. Lets not get carried away with what it actually did. To me, the most innovative part of Halo:CE had nothing to do with the multiplayer but rather with the top notch AI it had for the time.
Not to mention that most times when I log in to play SC2 theres more people on it than Halo Reach.
I agree, I also think there is not nearly enough comedy in games of late.
@RedDead
I agree with you on that. The Japanese mentality of that time is not really one I think most of us are familiar with. As indicated by their not surrendering after the bombing of Hiroshima. So Im not saying it was the wrong move on the United States part, just that it's pretty crazy when you think about it.
@Dead_Eye
While I agree with the notion that view points are easily skewed, this is only really applicable when viewing the situation out of context. The fact remains that Japan attacked the U.S. first.
Regardless, I do think nuking a civilian city is ridiculous. Im not condoning nuking cities...
How did he get some many disagrees? The only reason i can think is that his name might be a PS3 bashing name. But everything in that list is true. Its clear as day that this game will out sell kinect in japan, hell, the world.
Just to make it none fanboyish, its the equivalent of saying, will Gears of War 3 outsell Kinect during each first month launch? Yes, yes a very well establish title will always win.
Black, now theres a game that look way ahead of its time and got zero recognition for it.
Aside from some cool guns resistance didn't have much of anything substantial. And Im aware that its your opinion, however calling some great / ground breaking titles obsolete garbage seemed a bit ridiculous so here I am commenting.
Im confused by the Halo 3 and not Halo CE too...
Im pretty sick of hearing people compare the gears controls to uncharted's. While both are 3rd person shooters, they control entirely differently. Gears is an action game, beginning to end. Uncharted however is action + platforming + stealth. I prefer Gears controls for competitive multiplayer (even though Gears 2's multi sucked... fingers crossed that Gears 3 is more like Gears 1) but for the single player, in my opinion its no contest for Uncharted. The main difference is the locked...
Uncharted 2 looked way better than KZ2 imo. But maybe thats just me.
