What are we realistically going to see with 360 games on Scorpio? Legit question
As I think about it, I think it's going to be $499 with a year of game pass included.
In time I might agree or disagree I just can't decide yet. I need to see how older games look and multi's on it. Will multi's look significantly better? Or will they be forced to look the same?
He's right on I believe. People keep saying it's about the games, which is 100% right. If the Scorpio truly makes all games play and look better it can be a runway success at $399. Being the go to console for multi's is where games like COD/Madden can be a system seller. If the system truly makes the multi's look like the competitions exclusives and it's night and day between the two versions of those games people will buy it and it will be sold out for awhile. Games like ...
Top selling games of 2016. Games like madden, COD, battlefield, FIFA, gta iv, overwatch. What do these games all have in common? They're all multiplats. If Scorpio multi's look that much better than the competition then allot of gamers are going to flock to it. If Scorpio makes multi's look like the competitions exclusives and the competition gets kinda shitty looking copies in comparison it will sell like crazy. I'm still highly skeptical of the things I hear from ms. I'l...
It was just a matter of time before some stupid article like this came out.
If it's over the $399 price tag, there better be some sweet deals on an X1 exchange. And I wanna see what the games released already look like on a Scorpio. I'm not sold yet but I'm definitely intrigued. Please everyone stop comparing it to the PS4 pro. It's not a next gen system but also it's not in competition with a pro. Same as when the PS5 comes out, it won't be competing with Scorpio. It's going to become only more difficult to compare Sony hardware and ms ha...
More expensive now or after the inevitable ps4p price drop at E3? It could still be $399. Anymore than that I still thinks it's DOA. It could be an ultra high pc rig at 499 and it would fail. Because I can't see a mid gen upgrade succeeding at $499. Although I do have my popcorn ready for N4G backyard developers to tear down what seems to be a legitimate powerful console. Or the M$ gave blank checks to DF for a good reveal.
It's the same as the pro. Just a mid gen upgrade. 3 more years there will the next gen and 3 years after that another mid gen upgrade. Where as having most games work backward 3 console cycles. (Last part is my opinion)
It's a tech reveal. People are going to be disappointed if they think they are going to show a bunch of games or a price. Maybe, just maybe we'll see forza running on it. It's good though they are showing off the specs though. They must be confident with what's under the hood. At E3 they'll release the price and I'm still positive the entry level Scorpio will be $399 with the smaller hd. 399 and great specs is a great deal. I just hope that with Scorpio it makes all ga...
Succeed? Have an entry level Scorpio at $399, have the ability to make all games in the Xbox library, regardless of party look better. If Scorpio becomes the go to for all multi's because it looks better while playing the same it will succeed. If for instance I'm playing madden 18 or whatever COD is out and it looks like they patched it to look better than the X1, PS4, PS4 pro and taking advantage of what's under the hood it will succeed all while still being able to play it on th...
I personally believe Xbox is going old school and buying timed exclusives. Something along the lines of paying R* for RDR or GTA and calling them exclusive. You'll get the cuphead/sea of thieves demos. Maybe a demonstration of VR on Scorpio and their new subscription service being showed with some newer third party games and priced at $399
I'm no Xbox fanboy but how is ms being a copycat VR if they use a system that came out before psvr?
They need to be competitively priced. If they aren't they won't sell well. If it's more than 50bucks over the pro it's DOA.
I still don't see that price tag. People who are on the fence of pro vs Scorpio will just choose the cheaper option imo.
Can it make old games look better? Legit question.
4K, 1080, 30fps, 60fps, as long as the games look and play amazing is all that matters to me. Me personally I'm already at a point in my life I can't keep up and play all my games as it is. I have a huge backlog of PS4 games and PS3 games too tbh still in the wrapping I haven't had the chance to sit down and play. My Xbox isn't as deep as my PS library but nonetheless I have some I have to play. I'm hoping the Scorpio entices me enough with games that look amazing to go ou...
What your avg gamer wants from a game console? Uh... games. 1st, 2nd, 3rd party, it doesn't matter. Exclusive, multiplatform, doesn't matter. If your game console has games then most normal people are happy. Oh and a lively community to talk about and share experiences with. If I play on a certain console and I have games and enjoy my experiences on it that's literally the only thing that matters.
This is the beginning. Consoles are still going to come but the inevitability is streaming is the future with subscription based services. How many more console generations is the question. Latency and quality of gameplay is the major hurdle today. Once the quality can be at the level of console quality or near, they will go all in on streaming services.
I get it'll be BC. But is going to make them look any better? They all should have no screen tearing if I understand.
