The point is that it's not *just* a Vita game.
You don't hear anyone calling Guacamelee "a Vita game," do you?
Implying exclusivity in multiplats is a common tactic of fanboys.
I like their art style. And I, too, am glad to see them move away from the Atelier games. They were far too otaku-pandering for my tastes.
Yes, it's on the Vita. But it's still a multiplatform game.
The only game that really looks to do something good with the gamepad is Xenoblade, if only because always having a map handy in an open-world game is really cool.
But, I mean, did anyone really expect the gamepad to have that big of an affect of gameplay? It's the exact same gimmick as the NDS/3DS (IE a second screen). All it does is make menu navigation easier--which is no small thing.
I just don't understand why people expect Nintendo to have the s...
Correction: "yet another (possibly) good (multiplatform) game."
It's to be expected since they didn't bother to translate Ni no Kuni's title for the Western release.
...Splatoon is giving TW3 competition? Really?
...Is selling that poorly? Because if a WiiU game is getting sales in the same ballpark as a PS4/XB3/PC game, that says something really bad about the latter.
It'd be awesome if the next Nintendo console could sync w/ Google Accounts, so we could play awesome Android games on it: like ALL of the Dragon Quests and classic Final Fantasies, stuff like King of Dragon Pass, 80 Days, Hearthstone, Baldur's Gate, etc., etc.
But it's Nintendo, so it ain't gonna happen.
Skyrim is a great game. A fantastic game.
But it's a -terrible- RPG.
Which means that all those people who think it is a good RPG simply because it is a good game, are collectively lowing the genre's standards of quality--making everything worse for everyone.
...That's not gonna happen.
The original PS3, certainly. It had an excellent library in its own right, and PS1 and PS2 backwards compatibility fully tripled that. Easily the single best (dedicated) gaming platform we've ever seen.
It's still a thing because media in general is much more expensive in Japan than anywhere else. A blu-ray copy of the Gundam Origin movie, which is about 60 minutes of animated footage and nothing else, sells for about $100 USD.
Basically, Japanese companies don't want Japanese consumers to import games for half as much as they'd pay domestically.
Really good idea. TBH all of the games offered on HB should give consumers the option to choose which platform they want a given game on, where applicable.
Hard to be negative when you only have 4 or 5 sentences to write a review.
HumbleNindieBundle!?!?!?
So much awesome!!!!!
Hope they keep it up, 'cause I don't want any of those games....
Well, if it helps, it's not a remake, it's just a port.
lol, you're giving SE too much credit, too.
It'll be a mobile game, for Japan only. Probably a port of 7 or 9, as those are the only two DQ games left that haven't been ported to mobile.
That's generally how it goes with Souls patches. If you play the game at launch a lot, and then abstain for 4-5 patches, when you come back it'll be an entirely different (and much easier) experience.
It's called a port.
And SE isn't making it. They farm this crap off to other developers.
Same.
A shame the only DQ game we're getting is a Musou, though. Really hating Nintendo and Square-Enix this time of year.
