Genuine Question - what does this do?
I'm not the only one who plays on it, and my game play type is that I play a game for 30 minutes, put it down, next hour play the next game... In one Sunday I could easily play 5 games, ya know?
So deleting installs, only to have to wait to reinstall it in a week or two, would be annoying.
40GB owner here...
And I'm with the crowd that doesn't want to install a new HDD. The 20GB (only 13 usable) Xbox360 I have sitting right next to it has about 5 GB's of space left open. But in Xbox games, that's going to be enough to last me for a long time (until they start requiring mandatory installs).
Here I was thinking that the 40GB PS3 would last me even LONGER than the 20gb X360. But, I was wrong. I have 10GB left on my PS3 - most of those are game installs, b...
I just today looked through my list of games I own but haven't played in forever, and realized I'm on the last island of Crackdown but never finished. I need to start playing this game again. AAAA+++ WOULD PLAY AGAIN.
I have 880 in Halo 3. I tend to play social slayer, so I never really got many of the multiplayer ones. I can get 90 more achievement points by just completing the levels and getting the points needed and then finding all the terminals. That'll bring me up to 970 - and only the MP ones left.

Well if your goal is to support all the browsers, ok. But for my company (websites for corporations) - as long as we get 95+% of the users, we're good. I've never once seen it a mandatory to QA for Opera compliance, btw. But I understand each and every situation is unique.
Typically we only QA for:
IE (windows), v6 and 7
FF for windows and mac, latest build
Safari for Mac (latest build)
Don't know why you would even bother testing Safari for Windows.
The only reason some sites only work in IE is because of the way the IE browser acts, it's failure to comply to all the "standards" that exist, and developers/companies not willing to spend the time to make sure their site/app works on all browsers and therefore just make sure it looks nice in the one with the biggest market share.
So, if FF, Safari, Opera and Chrome can widdle away IE's market share, and ensure that all browsers are standards compliant, then theoretica...
To counter the first poster's point - how many people are going to buy a PS3 for Home? Now think of this seriously, take off your sony-filtered sunglasses and forget about "that one kid who said he was waiting for it".
I'm sure you'll come to a logical conclusion eventually.
(The same can be said for the new xbox experience as well. These things aren't main selling points!)
Who does not own a PS2. Really, I think I'm the only one. Had the PS1, then got the xbox, now I own all three systems and the psp.
I know there are lots of great games... but now that I have the latest and greatest, I find myself not wanting to go back. The only "old school" game I play these days is Black from the original xbox.
Yeah, but you just said it - it's huge and weighs a lot and takes up a lot of space.
My house isn't that huge, and believe me that the difference in the feel of the room was great when we took out the old 32" crt and put in the new 40" LCD. I'll sacrifice a little bit of black level for the difference.
Plus - I've never been a fan of CRT HDTV's - the picture has always looked sort of ... off to me. I don't know why.
Why do you need 3 PSPs? Or, did you sell off the other ones?
For me, the changes don't warrant me spending any money above and beyond what I bought my psp-2000 for.
uh, yeah, like really long time ago.
I'll buy this game regardless. I'm such a junkie for the Call of Duty series. In fact, just reading this makes me want to go back and attempt (again) to beat CoD3 on Veteran. The only one of the series I haven't done yet!
Good point on demographics. I would assume (even if I'm wrong)that a lot of the Home participants will be males between the ages of 14 - 23'ish. And yes, I did pull those numbers out of my rear :0
I don't fall in that category by a large margin, so perhaps that is the main reason I'm not really thinking about Home?
Good thinking.
I know that everyone on here thinks Home is going to be awesome, so I'm going to get tons of disagrees...
But I'm not looking forward to it. There. I said it. I feel better for it - like a weight has been lifted. I don't want a second life type of game. Never have. I don't care about my apartment. I don't care about my trophy level. I don't care about my achievements.
Actually, 50 British pounds = 93.33 U.S. dollars
:)
I'll hold my thoughts until I can play a demo. To be honest, while the graphics look cool, I don't think it's a type of game I'll enjoy.
Just wait and see.
Plus, great games are still coming out for all systems - it isn't like we are hurting for games, are we?
I haven't beat it yet - only a little bit into the second Act. It is a game i keep coming back to, though. That's more than I can say for a lot of other games I own.
