I don't know. Infamous looks fantastic. I was surprised at how good it looked. I actually worry that it's going to make me much more critical of other games, including WD.
It looks like a PS3/360 game. Which would be fine if they hadn't promised the moon at E3. This is disappointing.
And yes, graphics are less important than gameplay, but if they were willing to outright lie about the graphics, who's to say they weren't telling outright lies about the gameplay?
Kinect was great for some very limited applications. Dance Central was the only thing I would term a game that really used well, though. The rest was pretty much garbage.
I'd be happier if it were a troll, but... alas, I don't think so. I will be buying MGS5 used. Or not at all, if I can manage it, but I think I'll cave.
"If it's as feature-packed as the MGS and MGS2 demos, that discussion will be short lived."
Those demos were free. So, uh... yeah.
They want everyone to think it's Frostbite or CryEngine or something-- they're asking for the comparison. That's what makes it unimpressive.
That could be just about any engine. They didn't do all that much with it.
Edit: *looks through comments* Unity? Yeah. Can't say I'm surprised or anything.
lol, tech taking so long to advance. I complain the same way, but it's so ridiculous when you consider how far we've come in 20ish years (basically, the rise of the internet age) compared to how far we'd come from 1000 to 1750AD (i.e., before the industrial revolution)
So.... when are we going to learn he used the same email/password combination as his Adobe account?
I didn't buy it on current gen, and it's not the sort of game I buy on PC. So I might buy it. If I'd bought the original, I certainly wouldn't.
What's the problem? It's essentially just doing some extra multi-plat stuff. No one complains about the time the developers spend when they do one of the timed exclusives (yes, there are still complaints, but people usually don't complain about doing the release on the other console in the first place).
@dedicatedtogamers : "But when it was time to pile on Phil Fish earlier this year and treat him the exact same way, that was okay, right?"
Wait, I thought the stuff about him was about people criticizing his games and him getting all upset about it, not random people calling his phone and masturbating at him. Was he actually getting shit like that? That's totally not okay, and it sounds like the game sites buried the lede if it was.
People need a walkthrough for this? o.o
@MasterCornholio : There are nets under many famous bridges as well. A medical study showed that they didn't really affect the suicide rate, though, as people just found different bridges to jump from.
Their costumers, eh? I've now got images of everyone doing cosplay for Sony brands, while MS tears their Halo outfits apart.
Something about her doesn't look real... I don't know what it is... the lighting? Photoshop?
Honestly? I just don't believe 'em. You know what else was a forever exclusive? Bioshock and Mass Effect (the first ones). And yet I can buy both of them on my PS3. In fact, most of the one year exclusives were "it's never going to the other platform ever!" There are very few true exclusives from third parties, and they all lied enough that I don't believe them any more.
So... okay, I feel sorry for the people who backed this game, but are they actually complaining right now? It seems like it's just the blogs going "oh noes, a Kickstarter project didn't produce a game therefore you shouldn't back Kickstarter games."
I'm not a hater, I'm a Hayter-supporter. :p (I'll probably try to get the Japanese version or something.)
@cyguration: I'm not a bro. :) Also, I was meaning more the sex-violence aspect. It wasn't really worth it to have sex with the prostitute and then run her over like it was in GTA3. (I can't comment about GTA5). People aren't complaining about sex per se, they're complaining about sexy for the sake of sexy.
... You couldn't skip the cutscenes in Infamous Second Son? Didn't notice. Was too busy enjoying what I paid for.
