@darthv72
In all honesty, I hate Netflix. Mainly because you are at the mercy of their system/function. If the stream gaming function works like Netflix then we as gamers are going to be pissed. Netflix adds and removes movies from its streaming service on a consistent basis; some say monthly but it is more like weekly. Hulu is the same way. They only keep shows on that these so-called networks allow. I have a feeling if this Netflix function is the model to follow, gaming ...
As a system, this isn't what I expected. I wanted hardware where I had a choice to download a game if I wanted the game or just stream game. We all knew about the streaming service Google wanted to introduce, but I thought it would be a feature of the system with hardware, not just the system itself. That is what I expected.
Though GaAs has been implemented in a reduced form so far, I honestly think if this catches fire GaAs will start with Google.
@DJK1NG_Gaming
The problem with your statement, at least from my standpoint is that the PS5, though in development, is yet to be confirmed. If the PS5 was coming out this fall, I think you laughs would turn into a serious conversation.
Bloodborne 2...I would be happy with a new Ratchet as well, to finish off the story.
I think some of you all forget that Sony doesn't just make electronics. They have financial institutions. They have several movie studios across the board that does well. They have TV shows. They make music, own rights to several artists as well as music. They own several online businesses. Just to understand, there are over 1200 companies that make-up Sony. Sony makes a good buck.
@PeaSFor
Not certain why you are getting disagrees, its your situation. For me most games are like that, and usually that is a good sign. I must say, once you get past the first few tutorials the game-play picks up. I am only about 30% complete, but that is due to me playing this game late. I picked it up on launch day but I was so burned out due to completing a few other games before hand, one which includes spiderman. I've fully jumped in now, and I must say this game...
@milohighclub
GamePass does not have the amount or I should say quality of games to compete with PSNow. The method MS is using right now won't last. There will be a change in the future, they can't keep that process up. Oh wait, we are talking about the cash cow MS, maybe they can...
However the way GP is implemented is nice and many game companies that implement the streaming service should follow.
And you deserve a medal. A true gamer or fa of JRPGs will realize this was the down fall of the genre in whole. The focus on western game-play is what is holding them back. Now that this has occurred, it is too late to just turn around an revert. The genre needs to revised in its own way without any influences from other cultures. There are some JRPGs out now that are trying but have yet to make a significant impact. I guess we will see what the future brings.
@Gaming101
Your question is actually what they are trying to do. Google is supposed to be present their concept design and project capability at GDC this year. Many are wondering how they will implement cloud gaming among a few other things. Google is trying the same concept as MS, this Netflix for gaming idea.
I think it is the future, but the future isn't now. I say that because we have been talking about this the last 2 generations in whole and no...
@froy402
well, we will see what Google is about to offer.
I bought it for those top 3, but I have several others for my kids. I've, played it, but not as much since finishing Zelda. Trying to finish my PS4 backlog, I find that more important right now.
Though I agree with everyone's comments, I have to admit they are trying to change. The only problem is, how long will this new change last. We all know talk is cheap but can they really walk the walk. You know a leopard cannot change its spots, also the tiger cannot change its stripes. I am just sayin'
Because I was having issues as well, I decided to get the dock station which charges it from the other end. It was only 12 dollars. Well worth it.
Are these confirmed games or your guess (estimation)?
@OtterX
Oh... I know that feeling. Congrats. I will tell you now, it gets worst but in the same light as they get older it gets better. Both my little one are part of the reason I was behind last year. Along with my fatigue, I am sure they will find a way to help stretch my backlog.
@OtterX
Sorry, you had your experiences but I get what you are saying. I myself right now am game fatigued. It happens from time to time. I played so many games last year just to get caught up and now RDR2 is out and I only have 4-5 hours in it since release. I want to play it, I just need a break. On top of that I have three games waiting for me, 2 never played and one about 30 hours in. With several more games that I want to play releasing in a few weeks; this is only goi...
I don't really care for BC. I only like it during the first year of the generation. After that it is barley used. If you are trying to compare it to the MS BC, that is a whole other story. MS BC was suppose to be a system seller, it wasn't. MS BC was suppose to be a game changer, it wasn't. MS BC is a standard emulation and not a true BC. Sony BC is a true BC and a nice to have. For example, I just received a stash of games from my parents that was in their house, several PS1 and ...
@L7CHAPEL
Based on the description applied in this article and what @porkChop stated, it looks like they may have solved the PS3 issue. There are a lot of rumors on the net that state the new PS5 chip-set is powerful enough to emulate the the PS3 but this article looks like Sony is taking it a step further.
My issue with this system is that we as gamers loose control. The control that we have now will be gone. They did it with music, they did it with movies, and they have been trying to figure out a way to do it with games for the longest. This system comes close to being that method. I honestly hate streaming music, though I do it and I hate it because as soon as I get in a no-no zone the streaming becomes a mess. Skips ahead in songs, skip next tracks, etc. It just becomes a mess. For movies, ...
