I have a program that rips all my DVD's. I put all my tv shows (that 70's show, all seasons) and movies onto my playstation. alternatively, you could do the same with an external, or by simply downloading Java PS3 Media center. I like having everything right on there though. Eventually, i should be able to rip my blu-rays onto my playstation as well, but with the fat32 format, no file can be greater than 4gb, so ill most likely need to split blu files.
the only way circle would work is if it was a toggle. imagine pressing circle and trying to aim.. thats probably why its on L2; they want the gameplay to be fast, not sneaking.
well they're full of crap. my roommate only owns an xbox, and rarely plays my playstation. he also laughs at me for having both. but still, he has said he wont buy a 720 unless it has bluray. so MS, do more research.
It's not a beta in terms of there being a full version to come out. Its a beta in terms of being constantly updated and tweaked for all eternity. This is the open beta, which is where it will stay, and it was just released. Over time, more and more will be added, but it do not believe it will be a system seller. It's not like anyone in the general population knows it even exists...

1. i dont think that flash drives will be cheaper to mass produce than blu ray.. and by the time the new xbox launches bluray reading speeds will be much faster and creating the discs themselves will be cheaper. on top of that, why alienate your console by not allowing your consumers to watch movies on the format that is most prevalent? it would be like launching without any movie watching abilities.

my gears 1 disc was scratched so bad that i couldnt play it.. but thats the only game ive had a problem with on any system.
