First, I didn't agree or disagree with you.
Second, that's because they never use CGI and it's all in game and in engine rendering. You can tell in the beta because the transitions during co-op are seamless. The camera simply pans back a little instead of showing a black screen or a loading screen. Everything looks exactly as it does during gameplay.

Yep, it's happened to me in every beta I've been in as well. Except the Call of Duty 5 beta that is.. but that beta sucked..

Nope. I really just don't think this is going to work as well. With a new character it's possible, just not with Raiden. It's not longer stealth or espionage, its Tenchu. I'll stick with playing through the previous games in the series until MGS5 comes out or a new Metal Gear with gameplay similar to the previous games comes along.
As long as the lag is fixed, it should be a solid title. I'm personally looking forward to it because of the strategy involved. You actually need to use teamwork and be strategic instead of just running in guns blazing.. woot!

I really dont know why everyone is so excited about MGS:R. Sure its a metal gear on the 360, which is awesome for 360 only owners. But honestly, as a huge MG fan, its not the same. It's not gonna be the same stealth action that made metal gear great. On top of that, personally, I'm not a big fan of the future "lead" character. All in all, I dont see the game as being that huge.
visuals arent amazing, but a game locked at 60fps is amazing. the vehicle thing actually pissed me off though. I'm so tired of my FPS games having them to add variety.. i like variety, but vehicle missions get so annoying..

Dont get me wrong, I enjoy playing around on a mac here and there, but come on.. I have a dell laptop, 2 cores at 2.2ghz. I bought this two years ago now for about $1400. A friend of mine just bought a mac with ONE 2.6ghz processor, same RAM, same hard drive space, and screen size. He paid $2900. Two years ago i paid half of what he just paid, and he bought it last week.

thats because the number of spawns and turrets is limited and shared among the team. If another tactician places two spawn points, no other tact can place one until one of the places disappears. same with turrets.
two for $6 was a terrible price, but I paid it and i love the maps! i think $3.99 would have been a better deal. 2 bucks per map doesnt seem like it would have hurt Sony or GG much..

I was actually completely disappointed with the demo.. It just didn't sell me. But then I received the game as a gift and I have to say, It's incredible. The story does have a slight variation depending on Karma, but it's the difference in powers that really makes the change awesome..
I'm testing out prototype as we speak.. I really can't see why they're compared so much.. Open world with powers I guess. Prototype sucks in comparison though.. IGN nailed it with their review....
