Just FYI, this isn't Sony. This is DICE have typical beta issues. It's a beta, not the released version. The purpose of a beta is to find and eliminate the bugs in order to get to the final product. It isn't a free game for you to enjoy.
I didn't disagree with you, mostly because I partly agree. Annual installments of ANY game would begin to get old and repetitive, and in the case of most games (i.e. Madden) the innovation does lack. Madden changes very little from year to year. In Call of Duty's realm though, there are two studios working on the franchise. Did anyone ever think VAC was safe? Hasn't anyone played CS? Believing it was safe was the first mistake. IW telling people it would stop cheaters was the second.

For me, it's not that I have MW2, it's just that there are better games to play when you don't only own one system. I don't hate the game, and I'll get it eventually. I just don't think it deserves all the 10's it gets and I hate CoD Fanboys.
I think we all have those friends, and I think they drive us all nuts. On both systems, I have friends that play ONLY Madden [bought yearly] and COD games. That's it. Drives me nuts.

On top of that, they advertise "cheat-free" games thanks to VAC (Valve's anti-cheat system). I'm sorry IW, but VAC is one of the easiest anti cheats to get around. Counter-strike has had hackers since the beginning. If VAC hasn't stopped them in years, what makes you think VAC is going to stop CoD cheaters?

It's true that many bought WaW because of CoD4. It's also true that IW made a great game that many still play. But It's also true that MW2 is the same thing that Cod 5 was. It's CoD 4, new maps, new skins, new locations. Sure they aren't ripping off another studio since they made the engine and the game, but they aren't really innovating or changing any major gameplay elements.

Yeah, Demon's Souls is slightly Oblivion-ish if thats one of the few RPGs youve played. It's a great game, but I usually just play offline. People spamming Acid Cloud and Scraping spear just gets annoying as hell.

And I'm sorry but I don't think Treyarch has enough credit as a developer to smack talk anyone. They copied Cod4 and placed a WW2 skin on it. They made terrible Spiderman games. In fact, when was the last time they made a good game? Heck, the only reason World at War sold was because MW was such a big hit.

Unfortunately for Activision, this will simply increase piracy. There are multiple (and easy) ways to play Cod4 online for free. Considering the community this game has, it won't take long for there to be ways to play MW2 online for free as well.
exactly. CS is going to take a long time to die off, and CS players (for the most part) are very loyal to the game.
While I love PC gaming, I think consoles are great for the ease. No hardware upgrades, no installs (for the most part).. Just pop in the disc and go! I think that's why so many people love it more than PC..
No, I think he is saying that the developers at Bungie are more than likely going to want to make another game eventually that has NOTHING to do with Halo. He's not saying that they should give it off to another dev, he's saying that eventually Halo games shouldn't be made anymore. That eventually they should retire Halo and let it be remembered as a great franchise, not a tired franchise that wouldn't die off and became crap because of it (after 20 sequels or so).

I'll be getting MW2, but mostly because I sold MW a while ago (since I got like $40 for it) and all of my friends will be getting it.
Not to mention, the graphics look like they may have an advantage over MW2 as well.
I liked the first modern warfare, but I felt that BF:BC kept me playing longer. Can't wait for this installment!
