None of them, hopefully. This generation just can't appreciate what FF was, and neither can Square(Enix).
It just shows you how corrupted things have become.
I would have imagined Star Wars 1313 to be like Prey 2, but that would only have been wishful thinking. I doubt we'll see something happen with this as well.
Indeed, this is just a continuation of what plagued gaming these past years.
Unlike Take Two, i doubt they'll pursue this mod aggressively. It's what made Just Cause 2 even more popular.
We'll see if they understood where it went wrong, otherwise it'll end up just like Lords of the Fallen. I don't think the slow combat gained it any favors, amongst other issues with it.
The thought crossed my mind as well, but then some game releases, which makes it worth playing again. I'm not even considering most of the mainstream titles, which is where the worst part of this is.
Unfortunately, there are too many willing minions. Unless we had a zapper like in Men In Black, there's no way we can turn it around now.
Indeed, now that they have infected full price titles, there's no stopping companies from taking it further.
This is just the inevitable way things will be going, where people are simply paying to bypass playing the game.
What, you don't have the time to reach a point in the game, which other people did? Give us some money, and you can get there without even playing.
Hmm, i wonder if he's sticking to the genre of MGS, or something else entirely.
Ys Origins is the only one i really enjoyed. I just can't play the other games anymore, because they're not of the same quality.
I think Quake is sitting comfortably on this competitive scene. They may attempt to get into it with this, but they would have to remove things such as timers from pickups, in order to reach a higher skill ceiling.
Lost Odyssey was THE Final Fantasy of last generation. It was such a great game, which unfortunately got little attention from Microsoft. They barely marketed the game, which in turn probably crippled sales.
Resonance of Fate deserves a look as well. It took some time to get used the game, but after that period it's great and a breeze.
I'm glad i still have working copies of those games.
I would hope that they're not compromising it for other platforms, but i don't want to get my hopes up. It's likely what ends up happening, sadly.
Bioshock Infinite is an example of that.
Offering a cash reward for logging in, well, that smells like desperation. Maybe it's how they handled content after it went B2P, and wamting you to pay for content that was supposed to be out sooner rather than later.
It was probably one of the more unstable games i've played as well, so i'm not going to return. At least i didn't play the beta at release, so those who did got the worst of it.
I'm pretty sure most of the ''vocal minority'' isn't weak, like most of the comments on these articles throwing money at the screen. This is just another reason why the industry needs a reset.
I see a lot of ''but if..'' in these comments as well, which means either way, they'll be suckered into paying the price. It's a sad age we live in.
Well, not so long ago, we saw some modders doing it for the money they could make.
Other modders do it for a variety of reasons, such as having the spare time and passion for it.
What reasons would that be? Hate is such a strong word being used here, but the company behind the consoles is the problem, not the gamers themselves.
Yeah, it won't be 2016. The reveal video was mainly to attract more developers to them, because they were hiring at that time.
Any sooner than 2017, and they're pushing it out just because.
Great stuff, and Mark does know what's up. The way to fight these people, is simply to say no and create the game you want to. People will buy your game, and those throwing bomb threats at you, well, they were never going to buy your game anyways.
We have to shut them down now, otherwise it'll just get much worse.
