The trailer definitely shows something huge, but it'll be more interesting if they actually improved it as a whole.
I think it's the latter. But if this game has shown anything, it's that there are people willing to defend anything.
Considering a certain awesome person in Origins gets turned into a complete wreck in 2, i would consider that one of its most glaring dissapointments.
It shows that the game isn't a sequel to Origins, and that it was actually meant as an expansion DLC. But then again, that's what happens when you're under EA.
Oh, and 2 was when they started to crack down on mods as well.
The story was okay i guess, even though some of the cutscenes were unnecessary and characters did some strange actions out of the blue.
Hell, the Valkyrie villain's actions in the first game made more sense, and i liked her better than the one we had on our team.
I still don't see why you would blend them. Halo May be an arcade shooter, and Doom may be one as well, but it has nothing to do with Unreal Tournament. The game isn't even that fast paced.
Painkiller would have been a better comparison.
Either way, just another nonsense comparison.
Not sure why you would blend those two, considering the games are completely different.
Hopefully they don't change the battle system entirely.
They're maxing it out, because there's not really much content in the game to render. ;)
FFXIV plays just fine because of the long skill cooldowns, even if you have a high skill speed stat. The world design itself feels cramped in ARR, but it gets better in Heavensward.
I'm not going into the textures much, other than it's looking dated.
As for playtime, i've spent 1000+ hours on it as well on PC, because it's one of the last traditional MMORPG's worth playing.
No. The compromises are already apparent enough, when you develop it for both PC and console. FFXIV is a good example, considering they had to keep the PS3 and later on PS4 in mind.
If it's one specifically made for consoles, then it's fine.
Judging by the comments, some people still don't understand, that adding a MP mode impacts the game as a whole. It's not just something seperate and optional, because it meant something significant didn't have enough dev time.
Look at the content in AC games beyond Assassin's Creed 2, and you'll see a drop in Single Player content.
In that case they're not exclusive, but as i said, it's something people have made up due to the console war.
Exclusives only benefit the platform it's on, and the developer. But it doesn't benefit the industry as a whole, if a certain company paid for it to only release on their walled garden.
As for the matter at hand, exclusive only means one thing, but fanboys of the console war made up something different to suit their purpose.
I think AC2 was better, before they started to go downhill with ''expansions'' , because the next 2 was nothing more than that. Not to mention the tacked on Multiplayer, which caused a drop in SP content.
The first AC obviously had the better assassinations, compared to the rest of the games.
People always assumed it was one, but Ubisoft never mentioned it was one. Only Online RPG was mentioned. They're not dodging the MMO genre, like people are saying, because they only borrowed a few elements from it.
The word Massively is more than a few co-op parties running around, and a hub area.
Indeed, Hitman really used to be something to look up to, but now i just forget about it. But then again, a lot of games are going in directions i don't support.
Considering the focus has been on graphics, but compromising elsewhere at the same time, i don't doubt this will be any different.
Square Enix had trouble adapting to HD.
the crafting system connected to the MT's was decided half way through development, because EA wanted them to implement something like it. The interviews where this is revealed, is probably still somewhere on the internet.
Anyways, the rest of it is pretty much spot on. They already made Resident Evil's mistakes, but in less time. Hell, they even said Dead Space 2 was ''too scary'' as well.
No, that's not how it works. How it works, is that the PC version has more often than not, been compromised. That's thanks to the one build, and platforms that can't handle the game.
Without proof, this is nothing more than words. When the game releases, we'll see how downgraded it is.
Good, he was one of the people responsible for the later decline. It was pretty obvious, that he was pushing certain agendas with DA.
