I agree with everything you said, besides the Iwata comment. I wasn't that crazy about Nintendo under Iwata either. Infact, I haven't really been enamored with Nintendo since the GameCube. The GameCube was the last Nintendo generation that I loved. I completely checked out with the Wii/Wii U. I do have a Switch and it's been alright, but I'm still frustrated with the slow cadence of tentpole 1st party releases by Nintendo. We are in year 5 of the Switch and still no new ...
@badz149
Ahhh, my apologies for misreading your post!
"For me Stalker 2 & Starfield look leaps and bounds ahead of Burning Shores and FFXVI but it’s all down to personal taste."
Hey olMeyerslo, I have one word for you! Optometrist!
Why defend it as a consumer? Are you a Nintendo stockholder? Do you care more about lining Nintendo's pockets over saving money and getting a better value? Nintendo fans are a strange breed.
Once again, Nintendo bending their fans over and making them say "thank you". The fact that they're charging 40.00 for this one old game is laughable. Especially when you consider that Activision sold a Trilogy of Crash Bandicoot and Spyro remakes in one package for the same price! Even Bioshock: The Collection only sold for 60.00 for 3 far newer games! By the time Nintendo releases all 3 remastered Metroid Prime games, you Nintendorks will have spent 120.00.
Imagine that.
Its sad that any dumbass with a laptop can now be considered a part of the "media". And its not just in gaming, its in every facet of journalism. Nearly everything now is tabloid journalism.
Exactly. Any review that attempts to even mention that shit, I immediately dismiss! Because it has absolutely NOTHING to do with the merits of this game.
I think the goal here by Sony is for regulators to focus on looking at this purchase purely on its own as to whether its anticompetitive or not without muddying the waters with potential deals/concessions. Plus its in Sonys best interest for this thing to be drawn out as long as possible to push MS' resolve. They're probably hoping the longer this gets drawn out and the more $$$ its costing MS to get the deal done, the better chance that its no longer in MS' best interest to pur...
Glad you saw the light!
They barely have a console! Why dilute the waters any further when they already struggle to properly support what they already have on the market?
Same.
Clearly no one got the sarcasm. Lol.
Its not only okay, its preferred. At least by me. I want ND to move on from Uncharted and develop a new IP.
Lmao the campaign was most certainly not a 10.
I know the mulitplayer crowd will balk at this but IMO the way to save Halo is to reboot it entirely and take the Sony approach by putting a renewed focus on a great single player, story-driven experience like a Bioshock or Elder Scrolls. Of course, keep multiplayer as part of the package but bring someone in who can tell a compelling story with memorable characters and put them in a universe with jaw-dropping set pieces chock full of environmental story telling. I would even be in favor of ...
@Obscure Observer
Please show me where in my post that I said I was for or against it? I simply said I think it will happen. Try harder next time.
I still believe theyre going to get bought by Sony at some point.
And if that's the case, so be it. But that's not the same as taking it off of PlayStation entirely, which is what some are alluding to.
My gut tells me that the deal will go through but there will be concessions MS will have to agree to. What exactly those are, I have no idea but they'll have to, to satisfy regulators and I'll bet one of those will be contractual obligation to put every new COD on PlayStation in perpetuity.
@Knushwood Butt
Yeah I've never been a huge Smash Bros fan either. That IP along with Animal Crossing are the two from Nintendo that have never captured my interest.
