I'm not a massive CoD fan, but I accept the fact many others find it fun, which is what matters to them. Isn't that the point of gaming? To have fun? All Acti/IW are doing is providing a game that people in their droves will flock to the shop and buy.
Based on one (poorly written) review?
danger, I would agree with you if the issues with Lair were graphics based, but it was a fine looking game, the issue was with the gameplay. That isn't something you can blame on new hardware.
"Uncharted 3 (single player only)"
What?
Agreed kaveti, I find it most amusing how some PS3 owners will try and group themselves with the PC gamers. I'm a PS3 only owner and I'm under no illusion that the PS3 is only marginally more powerful (than the 360) at best and not in the same league as a top of the range PC.
Hot Pursuit is excellent, Criterion can do no wrong! I agree with you on Shift though.
LA Noire uses up a lot of data because of the MotionScan technology used.
Where did I ever state I agreed with the review? My point was blind fanboys making ridiculous claims with regards to review scores are no better than these sites trying to rake in cheap hits.
It's all well and good for people such as yourself to rant and rave that it deserves no less than a 10, but why is this so?
I'm a fan of Uncharted, having played all 3, but Uncharted 3 isn't the highly original game that is Uncharted 1, nor is it the massive leap forward that is Uncharted 2. Sure, game for game Uncharted 3 most likely the best of the 3, however compared relative to their time of release and what has come before, it's certainly not the most imp...
Perhaps it's simply because I have improved over the years as a gamer, although I find this unlikely. Generally though, for me it seems less of a case of whether I'm able to finish game or not but more whether I can actually be bothered to.
That sure must have been hard for them to implement.
I played Battlefield: Bad Company 2 solidly for well over a year and barely touched the campaign, I'm sure the same will be true of Battlefield 3. As a result, I'm not fussed by a mediocre single player mode.
If Rockstar produce the game they're capable of, then I don't see that happening. GTAIV: Complete Edition is one of the finest packages available this generation, and I really hope GTAV tops this.
That wasn't his point, MS do more for grass roots game development with the number of tools they provide for free. As a hardware based company, Sony don't do the same.
An ignorant person is one who doesn't know what you have just found out.
That such an idiotic statement as yours has actually received agrees is beyond me, morkendo.
r1sh12, no, MS (and Sony) receive royalties from publishers for every game sold on their platform, so they would have still made money even if the game went multiplatform and they weren't publishing.
I'm not one to buy into such superficialities, so will be steering clear of such DLC.
Should I be excited? No, Modern Warfare 2.1 does't excite me at all.
I'm waiting for an Uncharted kart game, that's what Naughty Dog did in the previous PS generations, Crash Bandicoot 1, 2 and 3 then Crash Team Racing on the PS1. On the PS2 Jak and Daxter 1, 2 and 3, followed by Jak X: Combat Racing.
