ILive, I completely disagree, "AAA" franchies such as Halo and Uncharted, deserve their hype for delivering a series of highly rated games. Hyping new IP's we know little about or lack any form of pedigree will, 9 times out of 10, result in disappointment.
In conclusion, new additions to big selling, popular and critically acclaimed franchises will create hype, does that really surprise you?

You are completely missing my point. I'm not saying Nintendo did or didn't claim it would be rendered at 1080p. I'm simply saying that if the 360 and PS3 rendered the game at 1080p and the WiiU didn't, that would be a reason NOT to get it on the WiiU. However, as the 360 and PS3 DON'T render the game at 1080p either, it's a null point.
It appears there's a little difficulty penetrating that dense skull of yours. If none of the consoles (360/PS3/WiiU) render the game at 1080p natively, then none can claim it as a reason to get the game on that system or not.

Not really true, more Halo games haven't been released on PC than have. Only CE & 2 are present on PC, leaving 3, ODST, Reach and Wars. I'm currently without a console having recently sold my PS3 and would sooner get a Wii U than either a PS3 or 360, it's something new and exciting.
I'm becoming increasingly interested in the WiiU, I hope developers make sure to use the tablet controller in interesting and innovative ways.
I would argue the best in the series in terms of impact and sheer wow factor was Call of Duty 2, my first real experience of HD console gaming.
