Also anonymous have constantly stated and tried to appear as though they are acting on behalf of the gamers.
Nonsense, PSN was down for almost a week till any sort of announcement was made, even then it was an incredibly vague and discrete blog post. People have been bashing the way the media blew things out of proportion on here, but that's is the fault of Sony, if they had acted sooner and more decisively then they wouldn't have been able to create such a shit storm in the first place.
In terms of the actual hack, of course they were victims, but they handled the aftermath very poorly and allowed the media to have a field day because of it.
Neither, just carry on making excellent and original games.
Allow me to explain why I disagreed, this article is no more than a pathetic attempt to pander to the hardcore PS3 fanbase prevalent on this site.
Anyone with half a brain can see that Sony handled this poorly, a week after PSN went down they finally announced details had been stolen, even then that announcement was incredibly vague, what details? Credit card details? Personal details? This then allowed the media to create a further shit storm causing larger PR issues. Beside...
Ah, so judging by the disagrees, this is exactly the way to achieve success? I will never understand the mindset of those who feel a loyalty towards a company or corporation, they are only after your money, and as a consumer, I'm only after the best level of service in return. Nothing more and certainly nothing less.
I ask myself the same thing every time I see a mindless fanboy lavish praise upon sony for this.
Yes, the last few weeks have been a roaring success for Sony, the victims of a hack that has brought PSN to its knees and slump in share prices along with vast negative media coverage as a result. Success in a nutshell.
@moparful
And some people here are far too trusting of a company holding their personal information and credit card details that have just been the victim of a large hack.
No pistols, no lean, no extraction escort etc. SOCOM this is not.
You refer to it as a both a game and a driving simulator, make your mind up. If rated as the former it's an 8 or 9, the latter? hands down a 10.
When have re-reviews ever been allowed on any platform?
Why so cynical? It's a light hearted article, no need to be so serious.
I always take user reviews with handful of salt, the majority of amateur reviews give out one of two numbers, either 1 or 10.
Okay, disagrees don't really answer my question, I'm aware the PS3 has the bonus of steamworks, but does it also have extra content in terms of levels?
I'm undecided on betas, whilst they obviously serve a purpose, it sort of kills off the excitement of playing a game for the first time if you've already played a level or two in the unfinished format of a beta version.
Is the reviewer aware the original Portal wasn't a full RRP release? This should be taken into account when referring to the length of the game.
Personal preference, I'm not looking forward to inFamous 2 as I found the first rather dull and LittleBigPlanet certainly has a lot of value, but I only tend to play it when I'm bored of other games. Uncharted 3 looks to be an excellent game, and the successor to one of the best games this generation, so that will be money well spent, but replay value isn't everything.
Replay value for me is one of the less important attributes of a game, I would rather play through a masterpiece once than a less impressive game 3 or 4 times.
Communists? God bless American paranoia.
