A generic military shooter that sets the standard for online multiplayer.
I have just purchased Battlefield 3 and, being a student, can't afford two full price games in the space of a week, so will wait for uncharted 3 to drop down in price.
Also, I wasn't surprised at all, for the following reason;
Big game releases to commercial and critical acclaim, so no name "sites" and "bloggers" (yes, I can use inverted commas in an excessive and "witty" manner as well) jump to and slate for the game for easy hits.
I don't need to defend DICE, the exquisite multiplayer package present in Battlefield 3 defends them adequately enough alone. I played the multiplayer straight through from 00.00 right through to 06.00, it's simply remarkable.
Whilst Battlefield 3 releases, Activision released this embarrassingly poor video for CoD:MW3, or is it? Looks more like MW2 to me. http:...
Well yes, the multiplayer alone is worth more than 90, but it balances out against the less than great co-op and campaign. Personally I have no intention of playing single player or co-op but I understand that reviewers have to take into account the complete package.
Absolute nonsense, the multiplayer alone warrants at least 80.
The problem with class based online multiplayer is that (some) people choose the gun rather than the class. If you pick a class, you should pick it to utilise it to its fullest, sadly many people purely use some classes just to snipe without spotting or kill without providing ammo.
Did you ever play Oblivion on the hardest difficulty?
Naughty Dog are really blurring the lines between video games and film, very impressive stuff.
There there, its alright, let it all out.
This could be good, I imagine combining biotic powers with friends over co-op to be a lot of fun.
There there, I know this must be a hard time for you.
KZ2? I can understand people being disappointed at KZ3, I was myself, but KZ2 remains, for me at least, one of the best shooters of this generation.
For online I have to give the nod to Forza with its deeper community features, but in terms of scale and single player longevity, GT is miles ahead.
Yes, but it says that Nintendo have made a bigger cart in the extract on N4G...
Wow, people don't even read the extract on N4G now?
Menech, no, the capacity of a storage medium has no direct effect upon graphics.
Godmars, stop being so ridiculous, why not wait and see how the multiplayer is implemented, if it's even being implemented at all.
Bioware's track record hasn't been top notch? I beg to differ:
Game (Year) - Metascore
Mass Effect (2006) - 91
Dragon Age: Origins (2009) - 86
Mass Effect 2 (2010) - 96
Dragon Age 2 (2011) - 82
Average score of 88.75
To be released:
Star Wars: The Old Republic (2011)
Mass Effect 3 (2012)
I fail to see how this isn'...
What did people expect from a multi-platform game on 5-6 year old hardware? For what it's worth I consider Battlefield 3 to be one of the most visually outstanding games on current hardware, both technically and artistically. Multiplayer is simply epic with jets and helicopters soaring overhead, chunks of wall blasting away and fantastic explosions.
