"Figured what out? The new 360 models have a failure rate equal to or possibly even lower than the PS3 Slims."
lol. You should start a site and post that on here as a story. It'd probably get approved.
@Viserys
That's pretty badass. You named yourself after Viserys? He's one of the lamest characters in the books. Why not Rhaegar or the Mad King?
This cover almost brings tears to my eyes. If you like the HBO show you should buy the books...they're a million times better (which is saying a lot considering how good the show is).
anyway, click on the link for the cover of the opening theme song:
I hate when anyone tells me what I should be doing with my free time because I'm a certain age. As long as I'm not breaking the law or abusing some sort of welfare program, what business is it of anyone what I do in my free time? It's all completely arbitrary to begin with. On the magical date you turn 30 you're supposed to get a new hobby despite having played games for a significant amount of time? Bleep these people. I'll be a gamer until I die.
Who cares whether it's labeled "next generation" or not? What matters is whether it's enough to make you want to spend however much Nintendo decides to charge for it. Until I see an actual Wii U game, and not a tech demo or footage of PS3/360 games, I'll reserve judgment. Online functionality is also key and has gotta be better than what was on the Wii.
Jeez. That takes me back. '07-early 08 was the year of fanboy debates. I remember entire threads dedicated to Haze's visuals being on par with Crysis.
I'm thinking Infamous 2 CE and Standard editions. After picking up Dead Space 2 and Vanquish on sale, I'm not sure I can justify the purchase...but if it's Infamous 2 for 29.99 it's going to be hard to turn that deal down.
This is why I don't buy a collector's/special edition for it's MSRP. You're better off waiting because they always make more than what the demand is and the retailers need to sell them to clear shelf space.
It doesn't mean the game isn't selling though. If I remember correctly, the Halo Reach collector's edition also went on sale a little after release.
If companies really want an edition to be special or limited than they should...
@Thorstein
Not sure what your point is. Spiderman and Batman were both incredibly well known franchises at the time of their first modern full-length feature films...and not only with their respective comic book audiences but with the mainstream as a whole. Surely you're not saying Uncharted enjoys the same sort of recognition among the general public.
But to return to my point, Spiderman, for example, did incredibly well with the relatively unknown Toby...
I remember thinking the first Resident Evil was pretty good but then I lost interest. Guess I also lost interest in Resident Evil games around that time so maybe it's not on the movies.
Silent Hill was very weird. Not sure why they didn't just take the script of Silent Hill 2 and use that for a film.
Prob with casting Nolan North is that the mainstream movie-going audience says "who?" when his name is announced as the leading man, while all us gamers give each other high fives.
The Uncharted brand isn't like Batman or Spiderman in that it's so well known you don't need a big name because people just want to see the new Batman or Spiderman movie. You're going to need a big name star to get people intrigued. Cooper is that. Fillon is that to a muc...
Fillon certainly resembles Drake...but I'm not sure he's a big enough star to carry the movie. And can he be the charasmatic ladies man that Drake is? He also doesn't look to be in the best of shape (then again Cooper might be in too good a shape to be Nathan Drake).
No prob with the director. I like the idea of getting Bradley Cooper more than I did Mark Wahlberg. Just sorta feels like Cooper might be too much of a pretty boy to play Nathan Drake. Still very intriguing news.
Reading the comments and I can't believe they still haven't fixed the bugs on the console version of the game. I was waiting for the game of the year edition to drop before I picked this up, but it sounds like the game is so broken it may not be worth it.
Thwarted again...oh well. Just saw it doesn't have trophies so what's the point (I kid I kid!)
seriously....that would have made me get a Japan account.
Agree 100%, Ares. There's this thing called the internet which allows you to find and infinitely better deal for any game purchase than what Gamestop sells that game for. If you think GS is ripping you off then don't do business there.
What you consider shady business practices doesn't make it right to rob a person that's probably making a little more than minimum wage at gunpoint.
Fix Cavities? Kinect gives them:
I guess hardcore in the sense that they're the most dedicated to a particular thing and only that thing. I'm hardcore about FPS', but I play other games. The people that frequently use Home are so dedicated that they probably play Home more than any other game.
But I agree, we do throw the term hardcore around so much that it's lost its meaning...at least its original meaning.
One of my favorite new IPs of this generation. The graphics look MUCH improved, although I never really got into Resistance for the graphics. Looking forward to see how they wrap the series up.
