C'mon Bait. Stop appealing to the lowest common denominator. Something is obviously suspect when the overwhelming majority of sites are positive about the game and then this one site gives a so so score. Is it just to be edgy (pun intended)? I dunno. Either way it's a day one for me.
Not exactly a well written review but I agree for the most part. Still hoping that we get some sort of cockpit view for the standard cars via patch. And maybe an option for damage to kick in for the earlier levels like it does the later levels.
Meh. The he!! with the critics. GT5 may not be getting 10's across the board, but it's still getting good scores. The only people that are pointing to the scores as proof the game failz are the people that were never going to buy it to begin with.

It's my first GT game and I'm loving it so far. GT5 was doomed to be overly critized because of the "delays," the differences between premiums and standard cars, and after spending so much time in development people were going to bish about any little thing that's not perfect.
Let the pixel counters bish about every little thing. For me, the visuals, handling, and especially the music (I want the soundtrack) all equal a classic. Fanboys miss out.
Is this the second patch or the first? I just patched the game earlier, turned it off for awhile, and now I'm being prompted to download another patch. I don't mind dl'ing updates but it downloads so slowwwwwww.

I was thinking L4D2 or Bayonetta. I got a 360 for Reach and I'm trying to catch up on some games that were exclusive or just flat out better on the 360. I just want to wait for Amazon's black friday stuff to end because I think I may buy it and the next day it'll go on sale for like half off.

For the fans that have actually waited for this game the entire five years: No.
For people like me that are just curious to see what five years of dev will produce: No.
For the guy/gal that's happy with Forza and is somewhat indifferent to GT5 at this point: Maybe.

@Keith Oberman. Agreed. I did one once. Got there all of fifteen minutes early and had to deal with being subjected to annoying GS manager guy that was taking it way too seriously. Amazon free release day delivery plus a 10 dollar pre-order bonus is all I need.

Well, that should surprise no one. A apt in Manhattan is probably a mansion compared to the average apt in Japan. And it's not like the 360 was doing all that well over there prior to Kinect anyway.

I'm a plus member. I'm scared to buy anything off PSN outright because it might be offered for free later down the line. Perfect example is Shatter being free to plus members. Surprised Sony didn't slash the price on Warhawk.
I don't think they'll ever go streaming only, but I do think that the streaming feature will become what they're known for in about five years. Gotta love the internet. Finally the cable companies have some sort of competitor.
Movie studios/Companies are starting to catch on. There's still a lot of crap on there, but you can find some really good stuff to watch instantly. Especially in the tv genre. If/when HBO ever gives Netflix some of its stuff (Entourage, Rome, Sopranos, etc) it'll really take off. Netflix streaming is actually a pretty decent option for people that can't afford cable.

Fallout 3 should be an HBO or Showtime miniseries. It has all the potential with the wasteland, the vaults, and the character progression as well. Heck, I think they could make a series out of Bioshock too.

Gotta respect the GS reviews. They take their time to really play the game and nothing is rushed. I agree with the reviewer for the most part. I still think if PD had included about 50 more premium cars and gotten rid of standard cars altogether the game wolud've scored better. Hopefully they provide a lot of DLC.
