Too much is made out of BC. If you really have that many PS2 games that you still want to play then it seems logical that you'd already have a PS2.
Still think Sony needs to release a sku that includes a blu-tooth headset and an HDMI cable. It could be the gamer's pack or something like that. Even throw in a copy of Killzone 3 if possible.
Yeah, the stuff coming out of Japan is supposedly extremely innovative. Sort of a weird combination though given the country's bias against Western consoles and the small apartment sizes of most Japanese homes.
You're really personally invested in this stuff huh? If IGN had picked Move you would've dismissed the article. They didn't so you're trying to rub it in? And they say the PS3 fanboys are ruining this site.
I don't use sales as the end all be all barometer for what's quality. And I kinda respect a company for giving us something different and new rather than just kicking out more of the same. Heavy Rain and Alan Wake were among my fav titles released this year because both were something new. I only played the first couple of chapters of Alan Wake but was very impressed. Once I get some more money I'm def going to pick it up.
Sony doing well? That's just not within his realm of comprehension. He reads it and skims right over it as if it were a foreign language.
Omega, do you actually own a Kinect or are you just praising the thing because it's made by MS?
Furthermore, what constitutes "winning?" Sales? Quality of software? Innovation?
The [blank] vs. [blank] articles are just the laziest form of games journalism. Especially when, subjectively speaking, the level of enjoyment one person derives from one may not be the same as what another person derives from the other product.
Bubbles up. I don't get it either. it's extremely greedy and short sided. If there were dedicated servers I wouldn't be thinking about trading the bleeping game in already. The lag is especially bad in Ground War but it's present in all game modes. Thankfully the single player is decent. I'm going to hold on in the hopes of a patch by the end of the month.
I know what you mean Meerkat. They all do have that Favella feel but Favela was one of my favorite maps because it provided a big advantage to people that took the time to really learn the map. I really like the maps here. The lag is my chief complaint.
So glad I'm not alone here. I don't have the most expensive broadband package, but it's middle of the pack and should be more than enough for online gaming. I have the 360 version of the game and the lag is insane. I'm not saying the PS3 version is any better, but it's at a point where I really don't enjoy playing. Really thinking about trading this one in and repurchasing MOW2.
you guys already have your Christmas tree up? Wow.
"Of course, the apologists, along with Microsoft, will say that these are all small hiccups that will get addressed over time; they'll also point out that these minor technical issues pale in comparison to the new opportunities Kinect's unique capabilities will open up. But I am not reviewing what the device could achieve -- rather, I'm here to judge it on what it's capable of right out of the box, and frankly, it feels like it's two or three revisions away from livin...
Over promoted and a lot of its shortcomings aren't being talked about to the same degree as Move or even the Wii. It's really weird how reviewers are just glossing over certain key things like the required amount of space and the very noticeable lag.
I can't keep going to the very cliched line of "MS is paying these reviewers off" but what else do you attribute the majority of very pro Kinect reviews too? I could see spending 50 bucks for a cool way to n...
It's nice but that's a pittance when you look at what Activision rakes in on these war games.
but MW2 shouldn't be a problem. Got on a little bit tonight. Can't really start ranking up until the weekend. All you guys that don't have to work and go to school are lucky! :(
Well, MW2 was highly overrated by the critics so this doesn't really mean much.
I used to take MS silence on sales as a bad omen until that one month where MS was completely silent about sales (I think it was exactly a year ago) and then the NPDs came out and showed it did quite well. The dashboard tech and face recognition auto sign-in stuff seems cool, but 150 is just way too high imo.
Also, I'm sure a lot of people that wanted Kinect found out that they'd also need a 360 which immediately took Kinect out of the impulse purchase category and ri...
I thought this would be stupid but T is pretty effing funny.
Personally, I'm getting Killzone 3 and this. I would still probably be playing MW2 if it wasn't for the bugs and the nuke (the thing that causes everyone to camp in the hopes of getting it). Pre-ordered mine from Amazon. It's not too late to get the 10 dollar gift card if you preorder.
I saw the swastikas and I had to marvel at the dedication/ingenuity these losers come up with to display their ignorance. Some people went as far as to have a guy in a white robe standing in front of a tree with a guy hanging from it. I didn't get offended though because it's probably some dumb kid that doesn't understand the severity of those images. In fact, it gave me someone to target on the other team.
Honestly, there are (spoilers?) swastikas in the main ca...
