"Even though its counterpart Xbox One seems to be a better device"
Shitstorm in 3...2...1....
@RonRico:
Gamingnerd? What the...that's not my name! Haha...
I love how the biggest of Sony trolls are calling out an MS troll for being a....troll...lol.
N4g at its best!
*looks at post history*....
Nope, sorry... ;)
*looks at post history*....
Ah, I see. :p
Now take a random drunk out of this video and divide his/her IQ by the amount of drinks he/she had and you'll get an approximation of the IQ of 99% of N4G posters.
If you hit the disagree button, congrats! You are part of majority!
@Gamer1982 and SirBradders
You both misunderstood. That's not what I'm saying at all.
I'm not excited for this game specifically, I'm excited for the fact that next-gen games will have this kind of visual fidelity.
This game just shows what -at the very least- is in store for us in terms of next-gen graphics...
"DriveClub Gameplay Footage Revealed"
That's what lured me in. We've already seen plenty of offscreen footage, so with a title like that, you'd expect actual direct feed footage.
Well, I do like the concept of the game, in that it seems to have a big focus on the 1st person driving experience, which is a big deal for me.
But they really have to start showing what it's worth, because so far it has been riding (pun intended) purely on hype from fanboys.
That in itself doesn't mean it won't be good, or even great, but it does make me feel like..."let's just wait and see before we go all banana's".
Lol, no I'm not bitter, maybe a little disappointed. :P
I finally expected some direct feed footage, judging from the title.
Just speaking my mind.
Look at my post history and come back here telling me I'm trolling any particular system. ;)
Are they that insecure that they won't show direct feed gameplay?
From what I've seen it looks mediocre at best. I'd say it's not even on par with the likes of GT5 or Forza 4.
*awaits the "only 35% done" replies and millions of disagrees from rabid Sony fanboys*
And what's up with the deceptive title.
The only reason I'm getting excited is because this game is showing what next-gen will bring us at the very least in terms of visuals and imo it's awesome!
The visuals kind of remind me of some of the earlier Project Offset techdemo's. There's just a certain appeal to the visuals in terms of motion blur, shading, lighting etc that genuinely gets me excited for what next-gen has in store for us.
Resolution is overrated.
Sure, there should be a minimum resolution to allow enough detail to come through, so the visuals aren't one blurry mess, but having 4k resolution while texture detail lags behind is a complete waste of resources.
Last gen 720p was the sweet spot and this gen it'll be 1080p.
I'd rather they spend those expensive resources on post-processing fx, A.I., physics etc...it will make for far more enticing visuals...
Indeed. Some of the latest footage is downright shocking. Doesn't strike me as a limitation of the PS4 though...I mean, just look at The Division.
It does have its moments, but the visuals have been all over the place in the Watch Dogs footage shown so far.
Art is very nicely done though. The city looks like an actual city and not just a collection of buildings and roads thrown together like some open world games out there (Prototype, Saints Row, Just Cau...
They are all NOT sports.
Are you saying poker players are athletes? Lmfao. I think I've seen it all now here on N4G.
Pro gamers...athletes?
Lol, give me a break.
We'll have to wait and see how things pan out, you never can tell on forehand if the thing might turn out to be a disaster in terms of reliability.
Though my experiences with Sony hardware have always been positive, so I'm optimistic in that respect. MS hardware, not so much unfortunately.
The PS4 price sure is very attractive.
I know there will be no end to the disagrees I'll get for saying this on N4G, but I actually think the X...
Must be so demoralising for other developers out there to see the level -and density- of quality they will never be able to achieve.
Rockstar have outdone themselves once again.
All kinds of jobs being handed out back and forth...
...
so much pun in such a tiny sentence....must be some kind of record for sure...
Better specs != Better device.
There's a lot more to it than that, but yeah, even so....At this point I wouldn't confidently declare the Xbone as the better device. It may well turn out to be in the end...but if I had to bet my life on it, I wouldn't.
