I don't get it, isn't Mass Effect a single player game? They should give us the option is the settings screen or something
I bought my 4K tv a year ago an after re-watching the Playstation event on Youtube in 4k this time I'm DEFINITELY getting the Pro. Games already looked great but now they look even better and run better. It's a shame they're forcing parity for the frames per second in online games but at least I will have less fall of in intense situation i guess.
This is just in time for FF15s release too.
This article is pretty spot on in my case. I did buy my PS4 a...
FML, this is one of my most anticipated games :'(
It's HDR 10 or something, there's different versions of HDR.
So it's basically half the pixels of 4k then doubled for the "upscale" That's still twice the pixels of 1080p so upscaling from there should look pretty good. Much better than 1080p anyway.
It's not like it's going to be upscaling from way down in the 1080p or 900p range like the One S is. Its native resolution will definitely be higher than 1080p to start before the upscale happens. During the after show they had three devs on a couch and one of them let slip saying "near 4k" while answering a question. I think it was the Killzone dev, whichever one was farthest left. Even without 4k native it'll still be some much higher resolution.
EXACTLY, aren't all 4k tvs SMART tvs? And don't they all already have streaming service apps that included 4k net flicks and 4k youtube? I don't need my PS4 doing the same thing my tv already does so the UHD player was supposed to be a great added benefit. The value in buying a PS4 Pro is reduced by its exclusion.
Says who?
The PROBLEM is that this was a fully expected feature, a given, a "no doubt of course it will be an uhd disc player".
This is exactly like when the PS4 launched and it didn't have a media layer, media server capabilities, audio cd support or video chat. They were all expected features because they were on the PS3. An UHD disc player was expected because this console is supposed to be a 4k machine. I didn't even consider that it might not have the drive so finding ou...
I like Pro, it makes it sounds like it's more focused on gaming. What does "Neo" have to do with games? Neo is more of a movie reference. Pro sounds great imo.
It's a translated article.
I wouldn't mind a slightly higher priced with a Ultra HD blu ray disc drive. Having that disc drive was a huge selling point to me, even if i rarely ever buy movies on disc i wanted that option.
Super annoyed that there's no mention of it playing 4k blu ray disc. What the hell.
That's just crazy, my 4k tv already has net flicks and youtube in 4k (via smart tv apps),
I really wanted the disc drive.
I bet this has something to do with the event planned for tomorrow. They're preparing the network for something big. Maybe something firmware related, it just has to be related to the playstation event, the timing is too close to be a coincidence.
Whaaaa? With the holiday sales season just a couple months away?
Must've been tired of waiting huh? lol
You guys are crazy!
Even on a smaller screen like 40in an even at 10 feet away there is a massively noticeable difference in watching a 4k tv compared to a 1080p tv. 4k is INCREDIBLY crispy.
"55in is a little small for 4k"???
Do you know how ridiculous you sound?
You should really test this claim of yours out because obviously you haven't. Me on the other hand, well I'm sitting here daily with two 47in screens literally...
People are weird asf
It can play 4K movies, it does not render a single game at 4k and in most case, yes MOST cases it doesn't even hit 1080p. You get games "upscaled" from 900p/1080p to 4k but a tv does that on its own. It doesn't make the game look like it really running in 4k.
It's such a delusional train of thought to think of upscaling as being similar to native.
The Xbox One S is STILL less powerful than the original PS4, it just has 4k...
The textures looks way better, there's just a lot more detail overall but it's also a lot darker which is good and bad depending on your preference.
4k but no HDR? Why pair it with the One S if it's going to be missing out on a One S feature?
If you want a bargain priced 4k tv an price is all that matters you might as well pick one up from walmart for $450
Can't they off-load some of the work to the GPU and reach 60fps instead of the resolution focus?
