Well, that is saddening. Ubisoft has been shit for a while... I refuse to buy their games.
Simple, the game is likely not using final assets... So any graphical comparison done now is pointless
A multiplayer beta is almost always about stressing the servers and not client side performance or graphics, in fact companies have given months old builds to beta testers in scenarios just like this.
This may be representative of the final game and it may not be, we won't know until it is released.
It's a BETA... Not just that, a online multiplayer beta... you guys realize this is about stress testing the servers and not the how the game runs on a given system, right?
I guess I'll state it again. It is a Beta, it is asinine to judge a game based on a prerelease, unfinished version.
In any case, I wont be picking up this Battlefield. I'm a little burnt out from BF right now.
To each their own. 24fps is unplayable for me. Its a stuttering slideshow of lag.
Thats a bit of a stretch... unless you are ok with turning down lots of settings. There is no single gpu card that can easily handle ultra settings @ 4K. The 290X and 980 are the closest we have for that.
It does appear in game. For the PS3/4 & PC versions of the game. You need to find all 9 of the XOF patches to unlock a special mission. The MGS model of solid snake appears then.
@Nuggets
Don't get me wrong, PC is the way to go. I just prefer to leave the silly bits in PC forums or among my friends.
My rig should be evidence enough that I love PC gaming.
i7 5820K
R9 290X DirectCU II
X99 Deluxe
Gskill Ripjaws 4 2400 (4*4GB)
Full water loop with both the GPU and CPU under waterblocks.
Soon to be a second 290X
Yeah, I understand that. DX12 and Mantle aim to reduce cpu overhead by increasing the size of batch calls per cycle. Obviously there is more to it than that, like better memory management, parallelism, etc.
The current consoles have 8 weak cores (weaker than the Desktop AMD cores). There is no way that current games would run the way they do if the same cpu overhead was present in both consoles. DX11 on the Xbox is not the same as DX11 on PC, in fact the point of DX12 and man...
You really could have done without the Glorious PC Gaming master race bit... Your post loses credibility when you do that. Leave that to /r/pcmasterrace.
Anyway Trial ships? I have not seen this. I'm a backer too, though not part of the kickstarter campaign as I backed at the beginning of last year. Only ship I've had access too other than my own (Avenger) was the 300i. Where do you find this?
Note quite. I'm sure they are working on improvements for the X1, however you need to remember - this is a console, and consoles already have Graphics APIs that offer reduced CPU overhead and "Closer to the metal" access. That's how it's always been, this gen is no different.
Just brace yourself so that you are not dissapointed when there are less than stellar differences. DX12 will be huge for PC, as Mantle has shown, PC APIs need to reduce CPU overhead...
Oh, noes! Game was delayed... Shit happens. Number one rule of development: Don't give ETAs, Don't promise to not delay.
Only thing they did wrong was to promise not to delay.
It damn well better. lol
Hmm? These minimum specs are absurd, but there is one thing you can almost count on every single time...
"looking better" Will not be something you will use to describe the Console version vs the PC version.
You will be fine, but you should always try to purchase with the future in mind.
lol. You my friend have not see what some people do with their custom systems. Alienware has nothing on those.
It may come on on consoles, but not until the PC version is finished.
Twitch video is generally at 30fps, so yeah you wouldn't.
I would call those specs pretty good, not super. Super would be a 6 core i7 and two 780TIs or 290Xs
You can uncap it via a config file. I only played 15 minutes of it myself, but it ran fine for me. Right aroun 60fps average.
Why have they changed her face again... Thats really irritating.
