Thats the beauty of PC gaming, IMO. I started with a 600 dollar rig 4 years ago that mopped the floor with the then PS3 and xbox 360, I then grew to LOVE PC gaming. Its a bit of an addiction and hobby mixed together now. I have zero need to, but I upgrade something at least every 6 months. I now have a overkill rig, but to be honest I could have stuck with my original build all this time.
Then there is the price of the games! I rarely spend more than 40 on a brand new game a...
I need to get the expansion pass for this game. Loved the single player campaign.
Eh, Take what you can get at this point. I do not have a ps4 or xbox one at this point (Although I will get a ps4 sometime). I am eagerly awaiting the steamlink, and I currently use my shield tv to play PC games on my tv.
Well, you can do that already. Just not with an Xbox. If you have a machine running steam you can plug that into your TV, or if you have a GTX 600+ Nvidia gpu and a Shield TV you can stream to that.
Well, at least it was free!
It does, but all that means is that you look elsewhere for your games at launch, I do. It's been more than a year since the last time I bought a game at full price on steam.
No, its to allow for modding online without the fear of being banned (For the GTA V version of LCPDFR, and other great mods). Sure, its the only way banned people can play online though.
lol, someone didnt read.
I did. I have played and beat every gta since GTA3. I knew the PC version was going to be head and shoulders above the console versions and did not want to settle.
The game is free to play, right? Cannot pirate something that is free to play...
Costs more in energy bills? lol... Have the 10-20 dollars a year... that come out of your wallet in 1/12 increments. SUCH A VALID POINT.
I should note that there are plenty of ways to get a legitimate copy of windows for around 20 bucks.
Well, to be fair it is currently in Alpha. So what we see now is not guaranteed to be how it looks at release. Doesn't mean that it will change, but that it is pointless to judge when the game is not complete.
While I agree with your points, This article was not about the capabilities and choice of the current consoles (Or lack thereof). It is a click bait article designed to rake in clicks from people who are easily misled into thinking that lower FPS is ever a good thing...
The latency is going to kill the experience.
Dunno who would disagree with you. But that's pretty much spot on.
That is an irrelevant point... You console will never output more than 60 FPS, hell it struggles to hit that sometimes. Getting a display for your console that can go beyond 60hz is a waste of money.
I plan to pick up a PS4, but I wont be upset if that never happens. Naughty Dog is my favorite developer. I don't feel that a the price of a PS4 is worth it if I'm only going to play a few exclusives a year.
On release day? no not that cheap... I pre ordered Dragon Age Inquisition for 40 dollars, and bought Dying light a few days after it came out for 44 dollars, however last night I picked up Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor for 13 dollars last night. Also if I didn't already have Alien Isolation I could have picked that up for 9 bucks.
Are you trolling or serious?
You have been able to use your PC in the living room for ages...with any controller you like.
You have to be trolling since you mentioned the constant upgrading myth... A good rig will last you a long time, only thing to consider is that you will eventually have to lower settings in the games you play, and even then you will still get better grahpics than consoles. Most people upgrade not because they have to, but because they WA...
