Lets just use the phrase "you people" while we're at it... Cheating has never happened on consoles before, right??

This tired argument again...

The Xbox One is doing better than the Xbox 360 did at the same point in it's life. It will be fine. The amount of people who Own an Xbox and a capable PC is a small portion of the overall xbox user base. Besides, most gamers with a capable pc play there; their console is merely there for the console's exclusives. In other words they don't buy many games for their console anyway. Obviously there will be exceptions to this. Its what I ...

While you may be right that some pc gamers may have bought an xbox one for this game (Stupid reason IMO), what you fail to realize is that if you have a gaming PC, then your console will only be turned on for exclusives. Meaning every other game that comes out will be played on PC. It artificially boosts the install base because that xbox is collecting dust between exclusive releases.

Obviously I'm generalizing here, as some people flop back and forth, but for PC gamers...

You can totes do that with PC... Xbox 360, Xbox One, and to a lesser extent the dualshock 4 controllers are all plug and play. You can plug your PC directly into your TV, or get a steam link. (Steam link is IMO the way to go).

No, what we have are people who do not care about having better graphics, performance, and resolution; They just want to be able to play the games they want with the smallest amount of up front effort. And you know what? Thats ok. PC gaming has made s...

Well, probably going to do just that.

This is pro consumer, and is a very good thing. This matters little for the "console wars". Console gamers will be console gamers. No one who doesn't want a gaming pc is not going to go out and buy/build one because xbox games are on PC too... no they will still get a console. Just like a PC gamer will likely play ONLY exclusives on their consoles.

Not having to buy another couple hundred dollar box to play a handful of games (Which is a waste of money IMO) is...

I couldn't really tell much difference from Xbox/PS4 but the PC was clearer, higher res textures on the character models, had self shading on the character models (Completely absent on the consoles), had better lighting, and was running at 60FPS.

People always forget Framerate and Resolution. Not only does it look a little better, it will run better at a higher resolution.

Maybe I should clarify, if your goal is 1080p min 30fps, then YES a $500 build will play most games on medium-high. It should be noted that this pretty much means console equivalent settings in a lot of games. If you want more fps, then you'll have to drop settings.

If you want 60fps 1080p Max settings, then yeah, you'll have to spend more. Its not rocket science.

It really doesn't take much to equal the current consoles performance in most ga...

Eh, no. More like a $500, unless you are talking about another country's Dollar (note this is the minimum, I would personally recommend a better rig), The Xbox one can easily be bested by low midrange hardware. A 1K+ PC will allow you to play the same games at much higher resolutions, quality settings, and FPS than an Xbox.

After reading your comment again, I can only conclude that you are trying to stealth troll.

I am perfectly fine with that. Elimiates the need to buy a separate console for certain games.

I'm sure CD project red makes no money at all on their games, after all they don't use DRM. Oh yeah nearly one third of W3 sales were on PC.

DRM was created to combat piracy, but it has also caused plenty as well. I personally don't mind if the DRM is invisible to me. That is how it should be done, however if the DRM is invasive, relies on servers, or spotty at best I do sometimes install cracks in my games to remove it.

Regarding Denuvo, I ha...

@sullynathan I will respectfully disagree, well unless we are talking about fanboys... Fanboys are always irrational and can't be reasoned with. Its a common theme, it happens time and again. Perhaps I am wrong, but at there very least that is my observation as a primarily PC gamer (I have an Xbox One and PS4).

@GamePeace So, no where in my comment did I speak bad about consoles, Console exclusives, or imply that PC gaming was the holy grail of gaming. Nor did I imply o...

Just see the comments above. Plus there are articles about PC sales are dropping, PC gaming is dying, etc. This all comes from people who are ignorant to the state of PC gaming.

So many people jumping in and talking about needing to upgrade all the time, how there are no PC exclusives, PC gaming is dying because the overall PC market is in decline, etc.

The reality is, no you do not need to upgrade all the time - just every few years, There are plenty of...

You're just talking about the tentpole graphics titles. Most of the highest played PC games are popular because of Gameplay. Good graphics, shallow gameplay is not a concept that is exclusive to PC gaming. The Order 1866, or Ryse come to mind.

Oculus, HTC Vive or OSVR. Haven't made my decision. I have a PC that exceeds the minimum specs, so PSVR isn't a consideration for me, unless it's much cheaper. Then I may get PSVR too.

No PC deals? Thats disappointing.

"AMD graphics card to an nvidia graphics card tends to be around the same price or in some cases even more."

What? It is definitely the opposite to that. More often than not when comparing equal performing cards the AMD one will be the cheaper of the two. Well, at least in the US. Obviously there will be outliers, but these are merely the exception to the rule.

I love the Xbox One controller. IMO it is a definite step up from the 360 controller. Although to be honest I didn't care for the 360 controller all that much.
