Still think Rod Fergusson would have been a good shout. He's got a track record of fixing stuff and I assume he's still at Blizzard.

Not heard of this guy but I feel like anyone is better than Matt Booty

I thought Dan Greenawalt was head of Turn10 though (although I noticed he didn't do the on stage stuff at e3 this year). Is he not there anymore?

Not quite - As has been said multiple times above, this is talking about Xbox publishing - ie. second party games like As Dusk Falls.

I believe the only one we know about is Contraband by Avalanche, a game by People can Fly and possibly an IO James Bond game.

Cool, it took me 99 hours to platinum Remake. Then 20 to finish Intergrade.

Hard mode was genuinely difficult - you couldn't just get a tactic and stick to it - each boss needed radically different setups

It's easy to say with hindsight of course. But with the resources MS have, surely they could have predicted this was a possible outcome of their strategy.

There's no way they'll consider dropping parity. That'll damage the Xbox brand beyond repair. Maybe they can do something clever with a mid-cycle release to get around it? Otherwise the Series S is going to be a mistake that they pay for throughout the rest of this generation.

The early Bioware games used to suffer from this problem. They fixed it by having an icon that indicated your choice will lead to romance. Maybe Larian can do something similar in a future update as it's quite a simple QoL addition.

I am not defending them... I just have an understanding of how a takeover works. EA didn't "fill the positions themselves". EA already have a CEO, CFO and COO, they don't need more.

These guys would have been on the CM board and thus were part of the decision to sell to EA in the first place. Them stepping down would have been part of the deal as their roles are duplicated elsewhere.

Yeah, this is nothing to do with big bad evil EA.

When a company is acquired, there are certain positions that will naturally become redundant. Codemasters no longer need a Financial or Managing Director because that will now be handled by their parent company. This would have been known by the individuals beforehand and presumably they would have had shares and were well compensated via the buyout. This is normal.

Either system is fine by me, but what I would say about Xbox is the way achievements are presented needs to be improved, at least from the dashboard app. Everything is too big and it takes a lot longer to look/scroll through a list.

Another thing that Sony did well was to separate out DLC and Expansions. On Xbox, everything is just lumped in together. You can 100% the vanilla game but end up with 35% completion and nobody will ever know you completed it. On PlayStation, it ...

Because none of the games being mentioned defined the generation, great though most of them are. As someone above mentioned the games that defined this generation is BR and GaaS titles

It's already annoying reading people type "I've wanted this for forever". I mean, if you wanted it that bad, why not bloody buy it and support the developer in the first place. Now we get people moaning that they want free stuff on top of the free stuff. Sony (And MS) can't ever win. Some people are never happy.

Seriously, instead of moaning about it, do yourself (and all of us) a favour and stop being a PS+ member.

The Japanese are falling behind in everything. If the board went along with Stringers plans years ago Sony might not be in this mess. But they didn't want to take risks. Its also why Harrison had to leave SCE because the Japanese didn't think online and social products would be important.

Hopefully Kaz can turn it around but they need to adopt new philosophies and quick.

Nobody wants to play another resistance or uncharted when they can play the superior versions on a ps3 which may I point out is cheaper than the vita.

One patch per game? Definitely not true. But it costs 30,000 dollars at least on the 360 which sure seems a bit steep to me. Maybe devs should finish their games before releasing though!

4291d ago 23 agree3 disagreeView comment

Yeah Sony should just let Ubisoft handle this trash

4293d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

The 360 had loads of exclusives though in its first few years

Rockstar North are obviously busy with GTAV right now and if that doesn't release until April then it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that this game is unlikely to see the light of day this gen.

And tbh, even after GTA their main focus will be dlc or the next GTA so unless they move it to another studio its never gonna have the chance to enter full production.

As long as Rockstar keep the platforms for GTAV secret there is still always a...

I hope its non move. No point trying to bother with it now. There is no reason this game cant be great with traditional controls.

4295d ago 0 agree5 disagreeView comment

I think its more likely to be a European studio although SP did announce the Infamous expansion at gamescon last year so its not impossible.

4295d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

I don't think there's much in it but the franchise was originally ps3 exclusive and maybe that's why Ubisoft have always supported that version better (dlc and betas etc)

Besides, the story was told. Absolutely no reason or need for a sequel.
