I miss the days when games weren’t so controversial. I guess I’m showing my age because I’m too old for this crap. Glad I can just enjoy games without being concerned about all this other stuff.
Easy to see since it was highly marketed and overly hyped to be this generational masterpiece work-of-art. Player engagement quickly dropped after it turned out to be just an okay game. I haven’t played it yet so I can’t honestly say how good it is but it’s still on my backlog list to play one day once the complete edition is released with all patches and improvements added.
As I love long games and getting my money's worth, I would say it depends on how long a 'shorter' game actually is, and how much it's going to cost me.
Yep, It's on my wish list and I'll be picking it up towards the end of the year after a few more patches and when it's on sale for AT LEAST 30% off.
Call it 'Pancake Palace' and they can't cry about it lol
I also enjoyed TLOU2 but RDR2 edges it out for me. Both hit me in the feels but RDR2 just a little bit more lol.
Yo! I was getting ready to reply with the exact same four words you started with lol. Yes, I think Bloodborne has withstood the test of time and remains a great game. That’s why all the fans are hoping for a sequel someday. Hoping that we can catch that magic again with a new storyline.
This is along the same lines of them cancelling or abandoning tried-and-true IPs just to create cash grabs games. It really makes a difference when the top people love games and love what they do. It shows in the final product.
While it can be true that ‘less is more’, I love huge open-world games like the Horizon games and the recent Assassin Creed games (Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla). To each their own I say.
My favorite jaw-dropping moment was obtaining the Ghost stance. Epic.
Same here, it was a very beautiful game world and I enjoyed it immensely.
Yes, these are positive numbers. Some will downplay if the numbers aren’t astronomical or something but, from the article:
“Recently, Horizon Forbidden West was also released on Microsoft's platform, and it is showing very good results on Steam.
According to SteamDB, Horizon Forbidden West peaked at 40,462 concurrent players on Steam, which is less than Horizon Zero Dawn, but still Sony's fifth biggest launch on the platform.”
Sony is in the business of pushing their consoles. Why would they release their first-party games day one on PC?
Just like any game, some people will like it, some people will not. Only the ignorant ones (like the author of this article) try to make their opinions seem like fact.
I care about the next ES. I hope it comes to PS.
I think it’s because some were hyping Starfield to be this ‘generational’ masterpiece when it just turned out to be an okay/good game.
I know I'm in the minority here but I don't mind MTX's as long as they aren't keeping exclusive items behind the paywall. Make them items that I can find in-game and I don't really care. Also, don't make them 'pay-to-win' in PVP games, as in giving people the chance to buy a powerful weapon that can decimate other players who choose to not buy them. Again, this is just my opinion and preference.
I still haven't played it yet. I'm waiting for the Rising Tide DLC to release. Maybe I'll get to it by this summer.
Just lump them all together huh?
When I got my first Atari in ‘78, I was seven. What 7-year old kid you know worries about controversy? And what was so significantly controversial about the early gaming years then? The earliest time I remember when games became mainstream controversial was when Hilary Clinton went on her tirade against GTA and ‘Hot Coffee’. Nowadays, everybody is mainly up in arms about almost every game that comes out, from characters’ race/sex/identity both pro and con, what characters are wearing, and why...
