I love any positive news about Xbox, but I'm not sure if this is the type of game most wouder a testament to next generation gaming on Xbox Series S/X. It's a beautiful cell shaded game, but the textures are limited enough for this game to run flawlessly on the console(s). The Xbox Series X is beast waiting to be challenged.

I know I might get some heat for this, but looking at that video kind of supports why Phil Spencer believes that supporting the older consoles won't hold back next gen games. Some have assumed that Halo Infinite's lackluster graphics were due to the game also being developed for Xbox One. Some of the things that I just saw in that video made me more optimistic that Halo Infinite for the Series X will have improvements that far surpass the Xbox One version. That is what Smart Delivery ...

Actually, an epic exec said in an interview after being pressed to comment on whether the Xbox Series X was capable of running that same Unreal Engine5 PS5 demo that they indeed have a big marketing deal with Sony and that including any mention of the Xbox Series X during the presentation would undermine the Sony/Epic relationship. This was actually an audio interview, not a redacted quote by the interviewer. I'm not making this up, it's true.
Update: it looks like DJStottt...

I actually found the demo video rather impressive. Now all we need is a good story and fun gameplay. The latter seems to be devs' biggest challenge nowadays. I find myself falling asleep with my game controller often, not from lack of rest, but from boredom. Since these newer consoles will be allegedly easy to develop for, I'm crossing my fingers for their focus on the fun factor.

Wait, people actually liked this game???????

Your measurement in comparison is a bit exaggerated. I think the Xbox Series X stands 11.85 inches tall. That makes the PS5 roughly 3 inches taller. I think what we'll see after these consoles launch is a mucher smaller console design in favor of the Xbox Series X. It also proves the brilliant engineering that went into designing the Xbox Series X. If you lay the Xbox horizontally it's only 6.3 inches deep. I'm getting vibes of double standard across the gaming community. I rememb...

I don't think they're getting anxious at all. What I'm seeing is Sony working it's PR magic. This whole SSD hype is the epitome of propaganda. If something keeps getting repeated enough times, it mutates into fact even if it's not true. Sony needed time to address Microsoft's aggressive marketing of the Xbox Series X. Their SSD is the only one up they have. So this is their way of controlling the narrative just like their downplay of Smart Delivery.

It's definitely nice to have an efficient cooling system, but it's also worrying that we've been hearing all these rumours about how Sony was having difficulty with trying to keep the console cool. How hot is this thing going to run? It's sure not going to make things any better with that extremely overclocked GPU.

Something doesn't smell right. It really seems like some of these devs are trying way too hard to convince us that the PS5 will be a capable machine. Of course it will be. The only reason we keep hearing the same recycled comment about P5's hidden potential is because there's disparity between the XSX and PS5's technical specifications. The Xbox Series X beats them in every area of tech except storage. Add to that, the PS5 may even cost more than Xbox Series X. It just seems l...

I was quite surprised to not see Cyber Punk 2077, but at the same time I'm not. They are probably saving the gameplay reveal for another confirmed online event that will put their game in the spotlight. This also confirms the large amount of new games coming. So many more games to be revealed.

Yes, it is insane. Game Pass is an atomic bomb. Mark my words - Microsoft will include a 1 month subscription code of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate in every Xbox Series X sold. Right now there are too many features that are in favor of Microsoft's Xbox Series compared to Sony's PS5. Considerably more powerful hardware, Game Pass Ultimate (Halo Infinite on day one), Xcloud, 15 first party studios, Smart Delivery, Xbox All-access credit program and their current transparency has been well rec...

What I saw definitely looked next gen. None of the current consoles can run 4K 60 fps with no bottlenecks. These games are going to be multi-platform. The newer consoles are more than capable of producing higher performance just as a really powerful PC rig. Just because the power is available doesn't mean every game is going to look revolutionary. However, I think all games on the newer consoles will have revolutionary performance. Game producers are in the business for profit - not just ...

It's called advertise revenue. Whether you got your Microsoft rewards from searching on Bing or grinding on Xbox, you earned Microsoft more money. It looks free on the outside, but in the background there's more going on with monetized ad placement.

Caddytrek, do you realize you're rooting for the wrong corner?Publishers have been ripping gamers off for years with re-releases from the previous generation of consoles. So I'm guessing 'Smart Delivery' isn't for you. I'm sure you have limitless amounts of cash to give to Activision and other greedy conglomerates. Good for you.

I agree. I was like, what year is it - are we in 2005? At least give us an in-engine trailer. I almost thought it was a sneak peek of Netflix Original "The Last Kingdom". I'm sure the game will be entertaining, but the hype may be exaggerated.

Starting to pay of?? That's an understatement. The service took off like a rocket as the best deal in gaming. Who doesn't like deals. There's nothing negative whatsoever about the service. Microsoft's decision to releasing first party games on the service on day one spelled instant success. I'm not sure if I'll ever buy another game again. I can play more games than I have time for 10 - 15 bucks a month. That's $120 - $180 per year. Or I can buy 3 games at year for...
