Across the world 1000 have said they're doing it. Accounting for the fact probably 80% of them have the intent to do bugger all, 200 guys spread across the world's Sony stores sat there will just mean they get kicked out/laughed at.
Why's this got approved when it's been available for days
Have to agree with Super Strokey. Infact Uncharted 1 wasn't all that great either mechanically - great characters but not so much the gameplay, but 2 was fantastic.
Bollocks I was meaning to download this, just been so busy this week. I'm sure someone will host it somewhere, it's the internet - you can't stop it!!
Such a shame too, if Sega decide to reboot the franchise it'll know doubt be an insult of a game too. The fans do it right.
I too fairly regularly play locally with buddies, but I certainly have to agree it's become less common. That said I don't believe that's at the fault of XBL or Online Gaming in specific, but more so developers focusing more on online gaming than local.
That's because when your a kid you genuinely don't swear and scream profanities and bitch about how it's the games fault that you died. Article should be renamed, how growing up changed gaming.
1200 Microsoft Points / $15. Pretty crazy for a 5 hour campaign, and 32 player multiplayer with dedicated servers on all platforms.
I love the internet
Tried this tonight, not impressed. You can pick up BF2 so cheap now there's really no reason to play this microtransaction heavy version.
Many UK/EU guys playing the US version? I actually found the game a surprising amount of fun for small blasts on the PC, and have been looking forward to the PS3 version for a long time.
That said SCEE show no sign of when they'll bring it to us EU players. Worth dedicating my time to the US one or waiting it out?
Well deserved :) The multiplayer is fantastic fun.
Heres to hoping they'll actually change stuff up with this one. God of War 3 was undoubtedly the worst God of War yet, everything about it felt like it was forcefully created for business purposes rather than a true labor of love from the team. Don't get me wrong it wasn't a *bad* game, but other than the stunning visuals it didn't live up to the brilliance of 1 and 2.
They state the multiplayer is 9/10 but the singleplayer 2/10 apparently therefore 5/10. Just FYI.
That's about as far from Alyx as you can possibly get. It's like making G-Man an asian woman.
I want some Gears 3 comparison shots with Hello Kitty Online
My above post answers most of what you put. Regarding the large developer pool the majority of companies which will produce games for it will be those that are on Sony's payroll initially.
The Playstation Suite is hitting later in the year (plus we all know how mini's on PSP fared). By that point it'll be almost standard for dual core processors in smart phones. The Xperia Play is launching with dated hardware.
I'm sorry but by simply looking ...
Playstation Suite? It's coming later in the year and the focus seems to be largely on rehashing old titles to play on your phone. The exact same mistakes already made with the PSP, people don't want to play console experiences on a handheld generally. The most successful handheld games and often the best are the simplest.
What's stopping manufacturers from making slide out controls is that the xperia play HAS to succeed for them to even be considered, otherwise ma...
Jack Thompson is a total joke, but in fairness this certainly stepped over the line. It'd be like making a game where you control a Tsunami and ram in into Japan. Good riddance, there was no need for it.
Xperia Play will be a huge flop I guarantee it. Android is notoriously known for not being great on the gaming front (don't get me wrong it's a great OS for standard phone needs). Chuck in a controller only available on 1 single device which the % of developers supporting will be absolutely tiny, plus a pretty high price and you've got a device headed straight for failure.
To be fair we see people promoting rating their game 5 stars on places like the App Store all the time - there's even the ability to have a little message box saying to "please rate it" which if you hit yes then opens the review page for that game.
It's just promotion. Hats off too them really, it's good to see an XBLIG getting attention, that section deserves more notice. Gamers have forgotten that we play games for fun, not achievements.
