This has been the best year of gaming ever so far, because I've had at least one game every month to buy that suites my tastes and this games release now just ticks off another month in the year with a purchase.
While most gamers who have seen anything for this game online thinks it will most likely fail...the music will not. Easily the best RPG soundtrack from SquareEnix in a LONG time.

I've been pointing this out since the game released. Even though every review mentions the PS3 version is better...NO ONE dares give the 360 one a lower score. No site is doing it.

The series has a very well developed universe and a great fan following that could only get bigger if they tried to up the ante with a new console release. I hope this development team comes up with some new awesome RPG series to take its place or one day comes back and makes "The World" MMO we all wish existed....

While I totally agree in 2008 MGS4 and Little Big Planet won plenty of GOTY awards I also think random games like Fable 2, Gears of War 2, and Fallout 3 also stole plenty of GOTY around the media.
Are you going by the DICE awards or whatever is held each year where LBP won in 2008, UC2 won a ton in 2009, and then this year well it's anybodies game with so many PS3 exclusives.
Guess he doesn't own a PS3 to get God of War 3. Honestly, if you don't own a PS3 by the end of this year you aren't a gamer at all...the library of AAA games that make your jaw drop is getting bigger and bigger. Does anyone not have the common sense to think that when you download a game from PSN/Xbox Live, that they could just link it to your account online with a giant list of what you bought and when. This way, if your PS3 ever bricks/blows up/gets eaten by a bear, you have the online "reciept" allowing you to redownload it whenever you want.
The only things I want to see out of SNK are KoF13 to NOT suck balls like KoF12 did AND maybe a remake or Capcom vs SNK 2 for PSN/Xbox Arcade with HD.
Every bit of my being is praying to all forms of Gods to grant me a beta code. I've had the itch for more FFXI ever since I left after playing for 6 years, and while all the new stuff for XI sounds amazing I'd rather take the next big step to play FF14 which starts with this beta.

It's odd that people who bought and played WKC---loved it. I think I've read one person regretting their purchase out of 40+ around the net. Dead? By what standards? JRPGs still sell like hot cakes world wide---can't recall a JRPG developer going out of business lately. Maybe the west reviews them harsher, but there have been a great bunch of JRPGs this gen.
Valkyria Chronicles, Demon's Souls, Crimson Gem Saga, The World Ends with You, FF7 Crisis Core Persona 4(it did come out in 2008), Lost Odyssey, Tales of Vesperia, and speaking as someone who's beaten FF13 by importing it... it's also a great game.

*shrug* I don't give two craps about the internet drama about this game. I played the demo, and I loved it(as well as Lost Planet 1's multiplayer). I'm getting this game day one for my PS3. If there's good DLC to be had---I'll buy it. I'm not broke by any means, and May is a dry month usually for games. This is my next shooter since I got Modern Warfare2.
