5 things? There's only 2 NEEDED and the rest are just things people WANT. Voice off on the two NEEDS.
1) Open public beta test.
2) Dedicated Servers.
Result? Glitchless, lagless, and most awesome online third person game you'll ever have played and can tell your grand kids about.
A lot of this doesn't add up. Hasn't Cliffy always said he wants the game to be a bit slower paced with stop and pop gameplay. If there is things that rip you out of cover, and other grenades that burrow in the ground to get you out of cover, then it seems kind of like a full on gameplay changer for the game series as a whole.
If this pans out being true Monday, then wow I'd be pissed as Cliffy B, because it lowers the hype.
#1 game worth buying in April is Super Street Fighter 4. 40 bucks, 10 new characters, new online modes, new moves, rebalancing, bonus stages, etc etc the list goes on.
So the game is considered a fail because it doesn't appease to casuals? The hell kinda of review is this? They even state this is an amazing game within its genre and lovers of the genre will find plenty to like....and they give it a 2/5? Someone was stupid drunk/high reviewing this. They put that dumb Halo kid over at G4 to review this? Probably got 1 hour in and then had to go play Halo 3 in his moms basement with some chips and dip.

People have known about beta sign up since FF13 came out in Japan last December. The beta sign ups started up what, January? Literally almost 3 months later these guys are just now "breaking" the news on something that is already ancient history.

Aww don't hate on The Angry Videogame nerd. He's hilarious. Granted this video he did was the worst ever, but anything else I've ever seen from him is hilarious.
Also, I totally agree with you on the SF game updates from Capcom. I still don't get why people hate on Street Fighter bringing you the same game at its core, but with more characters, more moves, tweaks, more online modes, more music, etc etc. You get MORE than you did with SF4 originally and that game is already a year...

This time last year Sony had Killzone 2 in the first quarter and it had inFAMOUS around the corner. It had just wrapped up the holiday season of 2008 with Little Big Planet and Resistance 2 if memory serves right.
As for Legend of Dragoon 2: Do it. I've been waiting for a sequel/prequel/HDremake/ANYTHI NG after completing the first after it came out so many years ago. Its battle system is easily in my top 5 from any RPGs ever. It kept you involved and required some timing to keep...
Let the haters hate, but this is my favorite JRPG this generation. The level of customization both in and out of battle is great, dual voice options, an amazing musical score, solid voice acting, and interesting mercenaries for hire chapter pacing is a nice approach to getting familiar with the characters and the world they inhabit for the story. Not sure if the story will pan out amazing, but it has been fun thus far and the few times the game has taken a serious note it all seems very loomi...
The biggest 2 crimes they committed this generation are not getting more behind Resonance of Fate and Valkyria Chronicles. These games scream quality and polish that the JRPG genre has been in desperate need of ever since the PS2 era ended.
If one more JRPG comes out from SEGA that looks as good as those two titles did and they aren't pushing it hard, then I will get in touch with the developer myself and lay it down for them to jump ship. xD
For 80 bucks I'd rather just get the game for both my 360 and my PS3 to play with all my friends since not all own both systems. I mean for 80 bucks they could have put in the OST of the game, some extra DLC costumes or all the DLC costumes they'll have for FREE. Who the hell is going to use a workout bag with a SSF4 logo on it?
I would've made the CE 60 bucks with:
1) All the DLC costumes for free with a code/codes inside
2) The Original soundtrack for both SF4 and ...
90% of N4G users won't last long if accepted onto Neogaf. I'm on there as a junior member still and I think I waited 2-3 months for my application to get accepted to join.
So if you do try to apply to the forums there can be a long wait till you get to post anything, because it's not a fast process by any means lol.

You'd rather the FF series wasn't story driven? Go try out Star Ocean The Last Hope. That games story was feces on the walls, but the gameplay was top notch.
FF15 just needs to add towns, an open world, more various side quests throughout the whole adventure, and just an overall better realized world where the game takes place in. If you get sucked into the games world you get sucked into its story a lot easier.
This is great to see this kind of reaction for the game to gamers who bought it. I got my Japanese import copy back in December and I remember all the hate the game was getting then too from Japanese reviews and players. This stays true, but the game DOES get better and better. Once you hit Ch.11 it solidifies itself as a GREAT RPG well worth the Final Fantasy name sake.
Sure the game probably won't become as big of a favorite as previous titles for most, but like I've kept sayin...
Resonance of Fate that comes out Tuesday looks to be another Valkyria Chronicles in terms of quality and SEGA sending it to die with a crap release window.
I'm just glad I'm getting to finally play it, but if the game ends up reviewing better than FF13 did, then you'll see how much SEGA is really not only killing their own profit revenue but killing off chances for more GOOD RPGs to roll out of Japan.
It just sends the wrong message back to the developers over there ...

This has been my most anticipated game so far this year, but I can wait till Monday at midnight to snag a copy for 40 bucks. It's pretty lame these guys get a head start of over 1 week to practice up and learn the ins and outs of the new characters to have an advantage online. It's also lame they aren't supporting Capcom on this game which is entirely 100% fan service and at 40 dollars they aren't trying to milk you, but give you much more of the series you love.
