"Bottom-tier writing"? Apparently you didn't play the Black Hand quests. Those were incredible.
"I will pass this story along to other people in Sony's Gamer Advisory Panel" - this has to be the nerdiest threat I've ever heard.
Yeah, it's a survival game. From what I understand, you get weapons but not many.
Really? I've heard almost nothing other than the general concept: it's set in Chicago after an earthquake and while it's first-person perspective, it's not really a shooter. It seems like Ubisoft's been keeping their cards close to their chest on this one.
Oh, there's plenty of console nerd-rage too. Ex: "Two discs?!"
Not cancelled. Just in the midst of a lawsuit which may cause it to not be a Fallout game. Also, it doesn't seem to be all that far along.
As long as the base game itself is big enough to justify a purchase, I don't mind a company plugging their DLC in-game. Lot easier to reach the less hardcore fans who don't browse gaming news sites or Xbox Live/PSN.
Yeah, I think this sort of practice would be weird in any other industry. "Official General Motors Magazine Awards Gold Star To Cadillac Escalade!" Every console's got their pet magazines though so it sort of balances out.
He was Richter in Total Recall, too.
Yeah, I had my fill after one play-through. I imagine I would've enjoyed it more had I played more of it with co-op instead of going solo, though.
$100 per a thousand people...so 770,000 players would be needed to get Bungie to give the max donation ($77,000)? Very doable, guys.
The word "casual" does get tossed around way too much. Pretty much any gun without guns, swords or boobs gets labeled as such at least once.
Oh, worldwide you mean? Yeah, I don't doubt that. Reggie's challenge (or whatever you want to call it) was for North America, though, which was pretty ballsy considering it's MW2's home turf and where you'd expect it to do best.
It's also the president of Nintendo who made the challenge in the first place (and who got laughed at quite a bit, if memory serves). If this was just some random comparison between two games that a blogger had devised (e.g. "Wii Play Sells More Than Uncharted 2!!!"), I'd agree with you, Robotnik.
Yeah, I've never heard of such a thing being attempted. Sounds interesting. I'd try it out but conformist slob that I am, I'm going to be playing Army of Two: 40th day. :P
I would've thought GI Joe would signify a more clean cut look. Also, the look of this "hick looking dude" was based on a real soldier from Afghanistan: http://gamesblog.ugo.com/ga...
I'd still say that the DLC situation with Dragon Age is a vast improvement over Mass Effect.
In retrospect, maybe the headline should've been "The PS3 Sucks - By The Way, BioWare's Making An Action Game." Probably would've gotten a better temperature.
Truth be told, it's a bit less ridiculous than some of the other Aliens crossovers I've heard about. I believe Dark Horse made Aliens vs. Robocop and Aliens vs. Terminator comics as well.
I'm sure they would've been considered completely legitimate reviews had they been glowing.
