I don't think the concept of mixing puzzles/platforms with combat is a bad thing. It depends on execution, though. If there's too much platforming or it's not very high quality, then it's going to drag the game down.
Repetition is bad whether we're talking about getting punched in the face or eating ice cream cones. In the case of the latter: getting the same thing over and over, even if it's good, results in diminishing returns. Your fourth ice cream cone tastes a lot crappier than the first one.
You probably picked a poor comment thread to jump into, then.
I suppose. I hate the idea of waiting like 3 years to see the end of the storyline, though. I mean we already had to wait like 10 years since the first StarCraft.
Seems like a decent enough value. I wish they added more unlockables, though. That's what sustains multiplayer for me.
I imagine Activision's counter-argument is going to be, "Well, StarCraft II's just as good as any console game. Why should we charge $10 less for it?"
They also must figure that the additional revenue from that extra $10 will off-set the loss in sales from people who think it's unfair. While it's annoying to have a company hit you up for more money, the fact remains that people will end up buying it (even if they piss and moan while doing so). To a fan of the series, sp...
Well, it at least prevents you from losing save progress if you get disconnected (due to said DRM). Gotta count for something.
Nor did I. Also seems kind of suspicious that they'd release a demo months and months before the full game's release.
Considering the other story directly links this one, I'd say you've got it backwards.
Yeah, it's a shame, too. I actually liked the massive PvP battles over keeps. The game just doesn't work without a high enough population, though.
Everyone's woken up next to that before.
Well, it suffers from the same problem that a lot of game soundtracks have. It's trying to cater to every audience possible. Meh, I'll do what I did with Skate 2: listen to the same two or three songs over and over.
You mean Louis. Francis is the biker.

The DLC hasn't been that huge of a difference for me but still, free is free. I'm glad they let you play after the main campaign ends so you can experience all the new content easily. I hated having to replay the first couple hours of ME1 just to play Bring Down the Sky.
Even though you're attacking Ubisoft pretty hard there, and it's deserved criticism, I'm glad you point out that piracy isn't justified. It isn't. It's hurting the developers for decisions made by publishers.
Took me 9 hours. I could believe perhaps that someone took 12 hours if they really, really took their sweet ass time but 12 hours is not the speed run time, I'm sorry. This is assuming that we're just talking about the campaign here and not the challenges. I suppose one might be able to spend 3 profanity-filled hours trying to complete all of them.
Well, with World at War and COD4, PC owners had to wait even longer than a month but got the maps for free with patches. Wonder if we'll see that here, too?
I really don't think the lawsuit's going to stop the release of the DLC.
Doesn't have anything to do with how much news there is. This always happens at the start of a new year.
