Yeah, falling inside the map sucks. I've only encountered it in one spot. I was trapped there with a medic and he kept rezzing me when I tried to kill myself :/
It's for the best. People would get burnt out playing it for three months. As is, it's going to be annoying have to level up all over again when the game is released.
There's always the MAG beta too, if you're looking for multiplayer shooting.
I think it's a fun game and will probably at least rent it. I'm just curious why they're dumping it in stores right after Christmas.
Depends how the lawsuit turns out. I'm curious if they'll keep developing it if they in fact lose the rights to making a Fallout MMO.
Talks about Braid as well.
Game I haven't played is bigger than game I haven't played! Rawr!
Until BioShock: Rapture Kart Racing is released, I think you should hold off on calling the series "whored out" :P Or until the sequel(s) are proven to be sub-par or only minor improvements over the original game.
Well, he was specifically talking about the first three months of the game's respective sales.
I'm sorry, but this notion that PS3 owners are all inherently more mature than Xbox 360 owners, don't like FPS's, and "don't buy into the hype" is just fanboy crap. Less PS3 owners bought MW2 in North America because there's less PS3 owners in North America, not because they're so sage-like. Hell, SOMEONE bought Haze :P
Yeah, that's the thing - NSMB will be selling well until the Wii is retired for good. Hell, Mario Kart Wii sold over 300K this month and that game was released in like, Spring 2008.
"PS3 gamers are more... hmm.. mature? and don't like FPS games. Don't excite about all the hype, just buy games which they like."
I assume you didn't visit N4G at all a month before or after KillZone 2 was released. People damn near didn't talk about anything else.
The fact-checking for "OMG DEEZ GAMES IS OVERRATED!" lists usually isn't very thorough. The writing process goes like this:
1. Jot down ten things people like.
2. Make headline using the words "Overrated" or "Overhyped"
3. Submit to N4G
They only said it would be "winter":

Everyone just assumed that meant the holiday season because that's when a lot of games are typically released.
Meh, some of those Q1 2010 games will end up getting pushed to Summer or Fall.
Part of me is glad when a game ends up being released later than expected. I got enough stuff to play at the moment.
My understanding is that if you liked GoldenEye 007, you'll love this. I was a PSOne owner so I never tried Perfect Dark, either.
I liked Mirror's Edge attempts to make first-person more physical. I wouldn't mind another game doing it. Third-person perspective only really does it for me with hack-and-slash or platforming.
Yeah, shooters don't age well. A lot of their appeal is rooted in the visuals and sounds and their ability to immerse you in the battle.
Def Jam definitely wins a "Most Surprisingly Uncrappy Use Of A License" award. You know what sequel I want more, though? It was this SNES/Genesis game where players controlled giant monsters (big robot, Godzilla style monster, etc.) in a city. The name escapes me but that sort of thing would be neat with next-gen graphics.
