haha was about to say the same thing.

All these articles about a new Fallout are pointless right now. A game of that scope will likely be 1 year pre-production and 4 years development MINIMUM and that's if they start on it tomorrow. Lets talk about it again in four years time when it's officially announced, not when they're still working out who may develop the bloody thing.

Oh great, now we have to deal with Anasts Bethesda fetish indefinitely.

Thanks a lot, Todd

Looking forward to finally playing that Bioshock game!

I'd say your example, although well-meant is not really fair nor comparable (imo).

If Rockstar pulled a bait and switch on that level on a gameplay/mechanical feature, I feel like it would be quite different to what I'm understanding here is just an aesthetic costume.

GTA is the biggest IP in all of media with thousands of people working on it, they'd never get away with something like that.

I get why some people are making...

In that case, you better go get a refund on every game purchased within the last 10 years.

With a few rare exceptions, no game is the same as advertised post-launch, for better or for worse, patches significantly alter them. If you're so all-in on your stance and policy, then that means you should be demanding a refund for a game like Cyberpunk 2077 - something that's now objectively better but nonetheless very different to what was advertised. Maybe that's a po...

It could also be that people aren't interested in Alan Wake 2.

Just a theory.. but I honestly think this only has a mystique around it because it was once exclusive. The first game reviewed well (83) but more-so "good, not great" and ultimately didn't sell great.

People revere exclusives more than anything, especially on internet gaming forums. And although Alan Wake is now multiplatform, the coverage it got back in the day mixed with a ...

In the last two years they've started exiting the consumer market altogether. All of the newest Surface products are business models only. They can't seem to work out what they want to do with it.

All you need to know is videogamer owns N4G.

It's not worth worrying about a review score for a game lol.. there's plenty of other reviews that are very positive about Stellar Blade. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, even if it's written by AI...

"I don't get it, since when was a game averaging in the 80s seen as bad?"

Completely agree. But just out of interest, would you say the same thing about Starfield, which currently has the same score on Metacritic as Stellar Blade?

"why does IGN always rated Games Lower then Everyone else I cant wait to play it though."

Honestly I don't have/can't be bothered to look at the data but my perception is completely the opposite to this statement.

The IGN review, whether people like them or not, is usually the one that matters most to publishers, developers and gamers and as a result, they usually tend to play it quite safe with big releases. When they came out and trash...

I don't know what's worse.

People giving a game they haven't played a score based on a feeling. Or lambasting a user for giving a score in that way because their view is (less than) 1 point apart from the average.

It only applies when the game is a remake which this isn't.

You could say the same for any number of games that were stupidly announced during pre-production. Elder Scrolls 6 & Perfect Dark are current examples, Blade is another recent one and in the past Mass Effect Andromeda and Cyberpunk 2077 come to mind.

I don't think this game is in any trouble. For a start, Playground Games are one of the few under MS Studios that actually have a track record of delivering on time and with quality. We got a trailer last year and I'...

Honestly, I think a well-designed LBP-style game would do better than ever in the current state of the industry.

People have short attention spans. Having something that is pick up, play a few levels and put down again is the experience the "masses" are after.

Keep it as a 2D platformer only with well-designed base levels, make it easy to build new levels and more importantly easy to access new content - personally I always found the way Forze ...

Sony in the Andrew House era did support them massively though. They let them do their thing with LBP and spent millions marketing it. I remember one E3 they even used LBP to cover the boring parts of the presentation where they talk about sales figures etc.

And then they allowed MM to announce their game on the PS4 console announcement/showcase event and waited the entire generation for them to release it.

So defensive lol..

If we're so concerned about third party now, can we apply the same logic to games like FF7 Rebirth, Stellar Blade & Helldivers which I regularly see people on here spouting as First Party or "Sony Games"

41d ago 4 agree13 disagreeView comment

haha.

In all seriousness though, if it's racing games you're looking at, you should do Destruction Derby and Wipeout 2097. The way Sony handled those IP and SCE Liverpool after the PS1 is one of the great travesties.

I don't buy that at all. After people cried for two decades about a remake, Square Enix finally made it and it only sold 7 million with as somebody said above well over 100 million install base. The original sold considerably more with less install base so what happens to the attachment rate argument there?

There's way less games to play this generation as well. In the last 12 months there's been precisely two big AAA games on either console (Spider-Man 2 and St...
