2001: MAX PAYNE
2002: SPLINTER CELL
2004: HALF LIFE 2
--------------------------
P.S: The true raw power of RSX is 250GigaFlop and not 1.8 TeraFlop(lol).
For comparison the raw power of ATI 4870 is 1.2 TeraFlops (almost 5 times more powerfull than RSX) and the raw power of 5870 2.7 TeraFlops (almost 11 times more powerfull).
Half Life 2 looks so fecking cool even 5 years after its release.
Its not the first time that the industry is trying to sell us seaweeds for silk ribbons.
They will fail again like the past times.
If you need a huge cinema screen just to get a half-decent 3D illusion then one can imagine what a failure will be on a 32"-50" home TV.
Thanks for the quote.
I was hearing sounds of laughter coming from the bottom of my toilet.
Now i know that they weren't delusions...
Maybe we will get a 360 exclusive GTA with Natal support?
I mean GTA with all these parallel activities and mini games is one of the best ways to showcase Natal controls.
.
I can't remember another year of the last decade that 6 games of this caliber, were released for a single platform.
And then they have another 6 big multiplatforms ( from the most mature of this this generation, technically and gameplay wise) primary developed for their console.
It wouldn't be an exageration to say that 2010 is for the 360 the best year a console is going to have for this gen.
Acctually is more like:
Crackdown 2
Alan Wake
Mass Effect 2
Splinter Cell Conviction
Halo Reach
Fable 3
Vs
GOW3
*Haivy Rain (a QTE application-not a true video game)
Gran Turismo 5 (a racing application-not a true video game).
The rest of the ps3 exclusives that you are reffering to, will leave indifferent the 99% of the gamers
*EDIT: Even if i count HR as a real game ...
My pc can run a mediocre version of crysis, It can also run all multiplatform games but only with most of the special graphical features turned-off and most times if i want a stable framerate i have to game at 1024x768 which is slightly lower to 720p.
This results to an inferior version of the game so i prefer to stick with the 360 version instead.
Probably he will announce a new exclusive game for the 360 this summer at E3...
ALAN WAKE
RAGE
RED DEAD REDEMPTION
MAFIA 2
In the American continent, ps3 is already past.
All Ms needs now is to drop the price of the Elite to 180euros, just a few days before the release of Alan Wake and they will bring the "GameOver" screen for ps3 in Europe as well.
Thing is that everyone interested in games like MassEffect or SplinterCell either already has a x360 or is planning to buy one.
And those few that dont, will buy it for their pc...
In the technical department, H3 does have better lighting than KZ2 (custom HDR Vs LDR), more and better "Alpha Blending" based effects, higher rez shadow maps and bigger active Draw-Distance.
Technically HaloReach needs:
- Better Art and higher geometry for the Characters (We already know that is happening).
- At least 2X AA and 4X AF for all the scenes, even for the heaviest of them. (we don't know if it will happen).
- A more mature Color palett...
They shot all their bullets and yet X360 is 6.5 million consoles ahead.
The worst part for them is that with the advent of 2010 is time for Ms to start shooting with their big exclusives, the expected price cut and the release of Natal...
I m sure that Sony took their lesson the hard way exactly like Nintendo last Gen.
And the lesson is that you can not beat Ms in the battle for the "Casual To Hardcore" demographic.
Now they know it and they have realised...
...It seems to me that you ll have to wait for Uncharted 3 on PS4 in order to see AW level of graphics on a sony console.
I m not surprised with all the xbox bashing from the sonybots in this article. People in my country use to say "nobody likes his rapist"...
So, it's been 4 years since the first time i played PDZ and Condemned while i was sowing my midle finger to pc and ps2 owners for their ugly outdated games.
Happy bd Microsoft. Hoppefully the next holyday season you will bring us a new monstrous multiteraflop xbox720.
Sony's 2010 looks like Microsoft's 2009.
