Man, I'm dying to play this in portability with my Switch. I'll miss my PSN trophies, but jrpgs these days I just have to play on the go. They're such time sinks that I want to drop in, drop out wherever I happen to be. (Sony, give us another handheld please! I know it probably won't happen though)

Yea, I had Vesperia on 360 before my final (3rd) system red-ringed. That's why I never played more. I've had it preordered on my Switch for a couple of weeks. I'm enjoying portability with jrpgs these days. I was big with them on my Vita. I really enjoyed Tales of Hearts R. I am 1 trophy short of the Platinum, did all the end game/new game plus.... but that damn balloon popping arena crap had me stuck, lol.

I'm really excited for Tales of Vesperia also. I barely touched it back when it hit XBox 360. Just enough to know I liked it. It'll basically be a new game for me.

I have it preloaded on the Switch. There's a 218mb update on it now, so 13gb.
My main reason for going Switch rather than my PS4 or PC is for portability. Rpgs are perfect for on the go.

I admittedly still haven't finished God of War. Just got back in town from a month long trip for the holidays, so it's on my priority list. What I've played is incredible, so I look forward to finishing it off.
The regular digital version (usually $59.99) went on sale for $29.99 today though. The deluxe was a better deal.
Yea, only the deluxe version was on sale, but it ended on the 31st. All of Ubisoft's eshop sales ended then also.
I picked it up and am really loving it. I couldn't care less about the toys, but the game itself is pretty well done. Especially playing as Fox and crew.

I'd say that 80-90% of my gaming time with my Switch I got last month, the first week of November, has been in handheld mode. I'm a huge handheld gamer... I played my Vita more than my PS4 sometimes. I was saddened to see the Vita fading out this last year. I'm a big fan of JRPGs, so it was still a good system for me throughout it's lifetime.
No, Dragon Quest XI doesn't look as good as the PS4 version, but I'm still amazed that it looks this good for...

For me, it was hearing the continued success of the Nintendo Switch, including the blowout Holiday sales numbers it is currently having. I was hesitant to jump in on one after the WiiU failure. I grew up on Nintendo in the 80s and beyond, so I'll always have a fondness for them, even if they are a secondary system. I finally bought a Switch this last month and am loving it.

@Livingthedream I didn't even get my laptop until 2017, so I was gaming on the PS4 primarily up until that point. I bought the laptop for work (I work in illustration & design, so I already needed good specs for some rendering), but also entered into XB1 gaming with it. @Livingthedream Yep. Certain games I prefer on PC. I originally bought Fallout 4 on PS4 for instance, but later bought it (on deep sale) for PC instead. I have an ASUS ROG Strix laptop, so it's good for on the go gaming when I'm not at the house. For instance, we are out of country for Christmas and I left the PS4 at home.
@Jester That may be true for 1st party titles (I own a majority of them on PC), but I'm not buying 3rd party titles from the XBox service. They're not getting revenue from me there. I get them on Steam, elsewhere on PC and also on PS4.

I would say that Insomniac has been consistently on top of their game this gen. Sunset Overdrive was great for an early gen XB1, now PC game. Ratchet and Clank remake and Spider-Man are among the top exclusives on the PS4.
I really hope we can get a new Ratchet and Clank in the series. 8 Platinums and I still can't get enough!
Even not hearing impaired, I get annoyed when games don't have subtitles. Sometimes I play with the volume either way down or off if my wife or kid fall asleep in the living room. Sounds good to me.
Yea Outlawzz, I'll continue to get multiplatforms "core" gaming on PS4, with the occasional PC one, but Switch has become my favorite place for JRPGs. They're usually not that graphically demanding to matter that much in the difference. I barely use my Switch in docked mode, just handheld.
