Anyone play Last Day of June? So yea, the gameplay isn't the best, a bit repetitive but it's because you're time traveling to change the course of a tragedy that happened. You're repeating memories to try and break the butterfly effect leading to that tragedy. Love and loss. That beginning tragedy will already hit you, but that ending will absolutely rip your heart out and stomp it on the ground. That twist! So beautiful and sad at the same time.

And that's your prerogative, Darth. I'm disappointed in how far it deviated from the earliest promises, but by all means if you find enjoyment in it, have at it. I've enjoyed some mediocre games before too. Usually JRPGs in my case.
It's more likely that it is because it puts them at the very top of the Metacritic list, thus generating more clicks and ad revenue.
I can buy a 70 (7/10) rating tops, for people who somehow are able to overlook the flaws and still have fun. There will always be people who still find fun in mediocre games. A lot of reviews up on Metacritic with MP included though. If it's their policy, that's fine. I still think they don't want to miss out on the day 1 ad revenue, so they post incomplete reviews instead.
I haven't cared for IGN in a long time, but the consensus does look like this game isn't even worth downloading from Gamepass. I had thought about renewing mine on PC for some more Forza Horizon 4 and giving this a shot, but I'll just stick with FH4. ...
