I'd hate for my teabagging to be misinterpreted as a sign of affection.
I would have never guessed a game called "Immortal Redneck" would be so good, lol I bought it during a sale in the Fall for 50% off. I wanted a FPS to play in handheld mode and the choices are slim on Switch. The more reviews I saw, the more I was sold on it.
Very old school in its feel, but the leveling system that you progress with each death makes you keep wanting to come back for more. Slowly feeling more and more like a badass, as the game does get hard! If...
I've felt tempted to pick this up before. I think I may just pull the trigger next time it hits a sale.
"EA Admits It's Not So Great at Publishing Video Games, Prefers F***ing Them Up Instead."
There. Fixed it.
This game was one of the biggest surprises of 2018 for me. I got it because the Digital Deluxe with everything included had dropped to around $30 around Christmas time. I started watching review videos on Youtube, and saw a lot of praise for it. In the end, because of the inclusion of Star Fox in the Switch version, it has ended up becoming the best (unofficial) Star Fox game for me since the N64. Some of the other characters are pretty forgettable, except when you start picking up data scans...
That portal will unleash the horde of microtransactions unto the world of Anthem. Run, no.. fly while you still can!
Yea, I own Fast RMX also. It IS a great game, but I'd still like to see FZero. Captain Falcon and all of the original characters. Classic locations reimagined.
Fast RMX, Redout are great for waiting, but I'm ready for the one I grew up on with the SNES and then N64. :)
@Saigon Thanks, but don't be sorry. It was the birth of my daughter, our very first child, just 1 month prior to Horizon Zero Dawn's release that helped grind it to a hault. Gaming IS harder these days, but I'll always find the time bc I've been a gamer since my earliest memories and I will always be a gamer for life!
I've said it before here on the site, but it's been a long while... we named her "Elena", inspired by the love of Uncharted ...
I may go this route and buy just a couple PS5 games at launch, then catch up on my backlog of PS4 and hopefully PS3 titles.
I'm kind of getting done with day one purchases of big titles. I'm finding myself not even having time to get around to them until later, which by that time they have dropped significantly in price. Horizon Zero Dawn for instance I bought day one, 2017 was a major life event year though, so with only a handful of hours in it, it got put down. I...
I think I'm actually going to pick this one up on PS4 so that I have a great kart racer there with this game and Mario Kart 8 over on my Switch. Something on both systems to choose from when my buds I have game nights.
YES! It's been too long.
Yea, although there a number of examples of indie games being sold for retail prices also. Just off the top of my head, The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth for 39.99. (currently on sale for 19.99). The Binding of Isaac has always been a good little indie, but I played it years ago. I haven't played the expansions, but even the Afterbirth versions on other platforms you can get for 14.99 or less.
Hollow Knight did it right though and I bought it the same day I bought my Sw...
What excites me is knowing that here in the near future they can move their focus their to just 1 device now. (mobile phones aside) Maybe that can lead to the most robust library Nintendo has had in a long time. Developers/Publishers who were iffy about jumping in on support before may be reconsidering their stance now.
I guess I'm just really optimistic about it as a handheld, taking over that space that is opening up. I would have love a Vita 2, but that doesn't ...
In my opinion, 17 million is still great for the Switch. Glad to see it doing well. It was inevitable though that 3DS would decline as people move on to the Switch as the go-to portable, as well as a home console. 3DS had a great run, but I really like having a true console quality system in the palm of my hands. (ok yes, not as powerful as the PS4 and XB1, but games do look great on the portable screen. I'm not much of a docked player as it is.)
Any of those are better than the €69.99 for brand new games (major releases) here in Portugal both at retail and on the online stores such as PSN, considering conversion rates. $99.99 AUS would be €63.30 based on today's rate, according to XE.com. (so €69.99 would be $110.56 AUS) €69.99 would be $80.27 US.
I am an American expat, and still get paid in dollar rates from oversea clients. Most all of the other cost of living is cheaper here, but not entertainment media. N...
Now is NOT the time. Konami would destroy it.
In-game pachinko machines that refill your health and ammo.
They weren't happy with the lowball trade-in offer. Ironic.
Ok, thanks for that info, Donnie!
Yea, I was going through recently deleting auto-saves from demos and betas. Not that I care to keep those, it's just good to not have to squeeze out every hidden MB to save a game. Some of them can be quite large.
"EA Sports. It's in the game ...wait, no it's not. You can buy it in our gutted dlc and needless ingame currency though."
"EA Games. Challenge everything. Especially our customers. Don't like it? Don't buy it. ...oh sh**, you guys actually didn't. It must have been the single player campaign. We'll gut that next time."
