I've already taken a screenshot of this message board so I'll have evidence for our future battle in court!

I should also let you know that my attorney is Pheonix Wright, so prepare to lose! MWAHAHAHA back at you! :)

Glad to hear I'm not the only one dying for a true zombocalypse game!

The real shame is that I really do think this is a game that would sell if done well and given proper advertising. We just need someone to make the damn thing!

Bought a used original Xbox today. Problem solved.

"I'm happy to have a 360, but I'm not especially excited about it."

I'm satisfied enough. I bought it to play the Mass Effect games, so yesterday's PS3 announcement deflated my balloon a bit. That said, I'm sure I'll find some other games on the system I enjoy. Condemned: Criminal Origins and Call of Juarez are both on my to do list at some point.

I will say I'm dissapointed in the backward's compatibility. I was ...

I think a substantial part of my youthful fanboyism derived largely because I didn't have a lot of friends. Video games weren't big in my area and I didn't have a group of people I hung out with who had PS1s through which I could vicariously experience the console. For the most part, my only impression of it was based on my consumer insecurity. I was a kid, getting an N64 at all was a huge deal. If it wound up sucking I s@#! out of luck. There was no way my parents would spring fo...

I'm more willing to accept rampant fanboyism from younger people. A little more then a decade ago, when the PS1 and N64 were competing for instance, I was an utter Nintendo fanboy. I hated the PlayStation with a passion that I now see was derived mostly from a bit of envy on my part. The N64 was a great system to be sure, but looking back I would have rather had a PlayStation. Ocarina of Time was great, as was Star Fox and Rogue Squadron but damn... all those classic RPGs I missed out on....

I concur on the online play dealie.

Honestly, with the PS3 gaining ground you'd think it would make good sense for Microsoft to make Xbox Live Gold a free feature, especially sicne they aren't exactly a company lacking in change.

It's for that reason that I'm not going to invest in a Gold membership. If I really want a multiplayer experience, which I generally don't, I'll go to my PS3. It may not have all the same bells and whist...

Note to self, use more puns in the future.

@Calm Down Sunshine

I actually think that would be a really cool idea. I think one of the biggest problems that helped to prolong the Iraq War as long as its been going on was the "us vs. them" mentality. It was only after our strategy opened itself to the idea of accepting that this isn't a black and white conflict that we started to make ground. I think a video game based around the concept of humanizing our foes could be really interesting.

As I wrote in the article, I can see how this might sit poorly with some people but at the same time this is no way being forced on them.

EA has every right to make any game they want.

@Clownbelt.
Conversely I think you're too stuck on the "love it no matter what" bandwagon to see poor writing.

SeeDs may not exist in abundance throughout the game world, but they do so in enough numbers that there should be enough evidence to clarify that yeah, GFs do cause harm. There are a total of three Gardens confirmed by the story, each one pumping out professional soldiers.

Furthermore, even if you are correct and there aren...

I'm glad you like the pic. I really need to invest in Photoshop though, because that took me about an hour and a half in paint to make it look even pseudo natural.

I could maybe agree with one for FF5, but you should really pick up a copy of the GBA port of FF6. The visuals are really gorgeous 2D. Easily one of the best looking games to come from the SNES and rather timeless in my opinion.

It's called sarcasm, but whatever.

I know the in game reasoning for their forgetfulness very well and it's still ridiculously stupid.

For one, if GFs are such a major part of the SeeD arsenal (they include them on their final exam for heaven's sake) then you'd think there would be a lot of other people running around with damaged memories.

We never see this in the game and the possibility isn't even mentioned until t...

I would agree that the PSP and DS are competing for different crowds.

The 3DS however is boasting exactly the sort of lineup that PSP owners have wanted for years.

Take a shot every time I say PSP in this article.

Almost, one extra "c".

You make a good point. I agree that when music scenes come out of nowhere it's just wierd, but when they actually contextually make sense it's fine. Bioware did right in that regard I suppose. Leliana is a bard, so she should have some musical talent. It wouldn't be as bad if the execution weren't so god awful. Overall, it was just a scene the game could have done without.

Yeah, the bugginess in Dragon Age was an issue. It froze up on me at one point toward the end of a really difficult fight (Brood Mother) and I nearly threw my controller at my flat screen.

It's called QA testing people.

If you pirate, you are a douche.

If you can't pay for a game then don't play it.

Alas, you're right. It is nitpicking. It was a slow week for pointless criticism I'm afraid.

That said, nitpicking is fun. You should try it sometime! :)
