Have you seen the latest story trailer? The facial animations are horrible. Kevin Spacey looks like a mannequin.
TheFamousMortimer never "called it quits." He was simply banned on the NeoGAF forums for leaking personal issues of a few Sony developers.
He's still quite active on Twitter, has a blog, starting a gaming website, and does podcasts.
He's been right about a lot of things in the past, but lately he's been hit-and-miss with his predictions.
Not sure what this article has to do with gaming, and why it's on a videogame website.
"Professionalism" is overrated.
I couldn't give a rat's arse who's more mature or immature in an argument. I care a hell of a lot more about who is in the right and who is in the wrong.
That moron from IGN(norant) is arguing with a Youtube on twitter about a 0.1 decimal point.
Can you possibly be more wrong?
There were THREE blockbuster FPS's for the PS4 at launch, including one exclusive FPS in Killzone: Shadow Fall. Not to mention the free-to-play shooters Blacklight: Retribution and Warframe. The Xbox One didn't have ANY exclusive shooters at launch to speak of. Despite all of this, Killzone: Shadow Fall sold over 2 million copies, and Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty: Ghosts both sold MORE on the PS4 than the Xbox One.
No...
Looks like that much-ballyhooed Microsoft/EA partnership, essentially supporting ALL of Activision's direct competition (Titanfall, Battlefield, EA, etc.) backfired on them.
All it did was piss Activision off, and now Activision is switching sides because they felt betrayed.
We all kinda saw this coming last year, when Activision demoed Ghosts to IGN on the PS4 than the Xbox One.
Remember how the new Call of Duty by Sledgehammer was unveiled at Destination Playstation earlier this month? That might have been an indicator of this shift.
If COD leads on PS4, then we don't have to worry about a crappy port-job that caters to the weakest common denominator that is the Xbox One.
Yes. It's Call of Duty, with mechs, with jetpacks.
SMAAtass would've worked better.
I called the SMAA.

The quality of the anti-aliasing is fantastic. Probably not using 4xMSAA, but I wonder if they're using SMAA, or something similar to that.

F*** yeah, Frictional/Amnesia is one my favorite developers/games ever.
Not that it's a big deal, but I don't like this artwork.
They should've used something like this:

Wonder why we've been seeing some developers do damage control for the Xbone lately? First, it was Rebellion games, now we have the Thief devs. Wonder if Microsoft is going around to 3rd-parties and "encouraging" them to spread more positive messages about their proven weaker hardware.
Pretty sad, if that's the case. People like Penello at MS should just focus on games, rather than continue this feckless power debate that they will never win.
Both consoles will definitely improve over time, but the gap in hardware and performance will always be there. That's a simple fact of the hardware being more capable in one machine than the other; there's no getting around this static power differential unless developers start gimping one console's version of a game for the sake of "parity."
"It’s the Xbox One’s first designed-for-next-gen shooter..."
This isn't really true. The game was originally conceived, designed, and developed as a PS3 and 360 game, several years ago. An Xbox One version began development later.
"The headset [...] uses the PS4′s PlayStation Eye camera, like Move did, for head tracking. This, say people who have used it, makes the headset even more accurate than the Oculus Rift..."
This part right here indicates to me that this rumor is total bulls***. The input lag of using a camera for head tracking would simply be way too much for an immersive, realistic VR experience. That, in itself, would render the VR headset inferior to the Oculus Rift, if this rumor...
I've been holding off on buying this game on Steam, knowing that it would be free on PS4 eventually. Been looking forward to playing this one for a long time.
To be perfectly honest, the graphics don't even look as good as Crysis 2 back in 2011.
