How is MS becoming so good all of the sudden simple SOny is offering them cutthroat competition.
I would say this feature should have been on 360 since its launch. It's still a bit late but it's good enough for me.
But I dont feel that the game has mediocre graphics. It looks good in fact it was awarded best graphics nomination e3 2009 by few sites.
I have not played the game but seen the demo videos it far from mediocrity. If doesn't looks mediocre in graphics. I would say.
But more compelling thing is that Crysis 2 is definitely technically advanced. But Killzone 2's environment are damn better.
I remember in PS2 days I found RE4 to look better than Doom 3 on PC with medium settings.
From Artistic view Point Killzone 2 is looking better it has clean environment with less things and brilliant atmosphere.
Was my first 360 or any next gen game I played and the last game I played was Shadow of Colossus. That game blew me away. It was way to advanced for the time and I think it second best looking game in 2006 after Gears of War.
One of friend came over and said that it looks better than DOOM 3.
It was unique and orignal, GRAW 2 was a bit disappointing as compared to GRAW, GRAW2 looked much better indeed but yes gameplay wise I think GRAW was better.
PS4 and Xbox 720 or just updated new engine for current gen. I think crystal tool is fine FFXIII is probably the best looking game on PS3 and 360 respectively.

XBOX doesnt needs BluRay in fact a revised version will do nothing but create hole in consumers pocket what about those who have purcahsed xbox with DVD. Its not a very good idea to change hardware after 4 years.
I think its better they reduce HDD prices so people can get it easily and its a worthwhile upgrade i wont mind buying 320 GB HDD on 360 if it cost me 60-80 $ like normal portable drives.
Their game looks good I agree but it is at the best at level of best looking console games and that is not what I expect from DX 11.
Better get a 576p version than no FFXIII at all. I have PS3 too so I will get PS 3 version but those who only have 360 are still lucky.
Graphics are issue but you lose more visual quality if you use a TN panel monitor or SD TV to play game then it is no use to cry for detials.
The basic issue is due to DVD used in 360. If 360 would had a Blu-Ray I think it would be as good as PS3 version.

What is wrong in my comment it does look good and there is no loading in such huge levels, so commenting that Alan Wake has small scale is not correct. Also to be honest I have a PS3 with 10 games as of now.
I have played U2 and Killzone 2 on my PS3. I have both the game.
Remedy has improved the graphics in last couple of months. The texture and lighting is looking better now. Their E32009 demo was good but not this impressive.
If they can make whole game like this then its a definite win. I can say its in league of U2 and Killzone 2 easily or a bit better. GOw3 is looking damn good only after the final product is released any such comparison can be made.

They look same as the earlier screen and they were said to be of XBOx 360 version.
Crysis 2 is really the next gen game. There tech demo are impressive and it doesnt seem that their is any next gen technics that they have left.

Definitely first day purchase. Does any one know how did they made it so good looking. 1st there was texture streaming tech for good graphics. UC2 is king in that department. Then came Deffered Shading with KZ2. Does GOW3 uses both.
BUt with Deferred shading you cant push much polygons that the obvious issue of that technique. SO what did Sanata Monica did. They are really incredible devs.
But ME2 is a different kind of game more action oriented. It wouuld have been really altered ME 2 if it had used style of Heavy rain.
You have to alter the whole universe if you make ME2 so much dynamic. I would love to see that. It will be awesome experience but at the same time it will require a budget and dev time that will cripple Bioware.
Better they a made superb RPG with few innovation rather than trying to do something totally new and end up like TOO Hu...
They were trying to use textures streaming technology back from 2004 when no one used it. They wanted to perfect it so they spent all this years.
BUt You can do it with HDD. Also compressed texture result in better grpahics.
Ingame graphics has nothing to do with Bluray. Its more dependent on Hardware. Blu Ray just gives you more storage space. So you can put a lot of stuff more levels, sounds, CGI's extra data etc.
Yeah it trumps in movie where it cn give very good True HD.
BLu Ray definitely has the advantage but MS could still catch up by reducing HDD cost and giving game install (oh! thats already there).
I know this will limit Arcade users. But I dont think there are much arcade users.
No saying 360 version looks ridicoulsly good for a port. I really appreciate the tech devs have used.
I heard about the story plot and I think it might be a sleeper hit. The story is simply superb.
If on live more than one such serial will exist simultaneously there will be chance of banning.
