FOr me they have reduced to a good extent, Texture popins where mostly occured in ME and GTA4 but after installation GTA4 textures popins where negligable and no matter how fast I drive say a car texture popins where still low.
In ME texture popins where still there but they where lower than on disc plus loading time while freerun gone and any tutorial and cutscene started without a hiccup. For me installation gave me better experience than before. Although I think as my 360 is 2 years...
Best games for console come at the end of its lifecycle. Just think there was MGS2 back in 2002 or 01 I think it looked stunning for that time and it was said that it touched the upper end for PS2 in terms of processing. BU then MGS3, RE4, GOW1, GOW2 & Shadow of Colossus came and they where next gen when compared to MGS2 in graphics. So if its Gears 2 for 360 toucing the upper end in processing than I think there is a lot more to squeeze.

Playing them on DVD they dont have massive slow down issues NG2 has slow but Gears2 doesnt has any and loading sign is also very rare and short in Gears2. Also Gears 2 doesnt looks half bad try it,amount of action and size of levels where large and it best looking game on 360 put any multiplat none of them are crossing it in graphics you can count Dead Space, Fallout3 too.

Dead space is definetly a treat for fans of horror games.
Its an action adventure game its definetly not a 3rd person shooter it has more of action adventure elements in it.
Yeah I liked Dead Space a lot but still Gears 2 really had the pace and there was much fluidity to it. That made it really engaging. Dead space was slower and there was cinematic value to it,it was better in that department but still it was not superb in that department and graphics of Gears 2 were better.
Overall if you call for single player it will be real hard for me to say Dead space is better.
15+ for FEAR2 last game in the series was scary. So they have downgraded the fear factor a bit.

I have a PS3 and MGS4 looks really good but Gears2 is equal or better at places its really not very big leap from 1st game but the environment are huge this time and the effects are much better and all this makes it much better than Gears1.
Play the act2 in Gears 2 and you will know the difference.

I had a PS2 last gen and i have to tell you, the graphics were not comparable to Xbox and PC games of the time. I had a FX5200 and PS2 performed lower than that on multiplatform games. Thats when I felt that
